Whatever happens, I will give back to MySpleen, either by seeding the VCD mentioned earlier or by sharing this 2.5 GiB version if it finishes, is not password-protected, and is better than what the Spleen has.
'spleen is not VCD. 'spleen is 480x576.
'spleen is identical to none’s website, if that’s what you’re downloading.
But don’t take my word for it… just remember you heard it here first 😃
To anybody who has this “release” - Is there a way how to extract the bin files? I have tried both downloading them from myspleen and from a different site, and in both cases I ended up with identical files which can’t be extracted by any software I have
I used vcdrip command from GNU VCDImager software package
to rip the avseq01.mpg file from the .bin image.
(0.6.2 happens to be the version installed on that ten-year-old box.
I’m sure newer versions are available, but I seem to recall trouble when I tried compiling them)
However, myspleen only has the vcd, not the SVCD. If you manage to find that, though, it would be nice to have on the spleen. Perhaps someone with a usenet account that has absurdly good retention can find it?
I checked the popular Usenet binary search engine, disregarding age, and found nothing. There is a (dead) public torrent, but it’s (presumably hard) SWESUBbed.
NZBKing has none’s indexed. I found it using search string “Attack of the Clones Centropy”.
Looks to be identical content as 'spleen torrent. (I compared CRC values of 3rd disc .bin & .cue)
Dunno if they’re strictly compliant with SVCD standard, but resolution is 480x576 (more than VCD)
I agree althor’s is excellent:
Star.Wars.1977.Silver.Screen.Edition.35mm.v1.720p.gout.synced.torrent
2016-01-16 20:56:25 GMT
It’s not yet in a.b.starwars to my knowledge.
Over the years althor has been prolific usenet poster; that’s main reason
why I haven’t taken upon myself to upload it. I’d be happy to do
especially if the former member, the one who left <LOL>, would pull strings
to have it deleted from 'spleen
Is the corrected one the ISO called TN1’s ESB Grindhouse 1080p BD - “20150112”?
Yes, named for the date the torrent was seeded.
BTW 'spleen is having another free leech this week, and that one isn’t deleted (yet).
Shhh-- don’t tell the former member, the one who left… LOL
The BD25 is the fixed version.
The fixed version is a BD image, yes.
The usenet post (and former torrent) whose name is “ESB_Grindhouse_1080p_BD25”
is the .mkv in 4:2:2 color space with glitches at the last scene
Grabbed a Usenet post called “ESB_Grindhouse_1080p_BD25”, and it looks great
except for the glitches at the last scene.
When the secret plans are divulged, I’ll have more than $5 …
That was the secret plan yes. It’s a possibility that Harmy is also excited about. But it’s all up to him.
Now I’ll put my money where my mouth was…
^ that repack is excellent, it has the latest mono synched by Althor.
Are you sure about that?
The big .mkv file is identical to NiceGuy’s (deleted) 'spleen one.
Is there a mono track included in the Repack archive, that’s not muxed into the .mkv ?
Darth, thanks very much for uploading all of that stuff. Finally get to use up a good chunk of my Usenet quota.
Well I didn’t upload all of that stuff-- only two of them.
Couldn’t have done it without Williarob seeding those two torrents first,
so let’s thank him.
I did waste an hour compiling that list, so for that you’re welcome
.
Had you taken advantage of spleen’s free leech last month,
you wouldn’t need to spend any usenet quota 😃
^Sounds like you’re describing STAR WARS.

Done as in look for it on MySpleen, or done as in “stick a fork in it”?
Done as in look for it on Usenet (the last line in the quote).
'spleen torrent is done as in deleted,
but we think that that original original vision (OOV) should be preserved
It also makes a difference you want to sync to the US or UK version of the GOUT - they differ by 3 frames. The UK one has 2 extra frames at the beginning and 1 extra at the end of reel 5.
The UK one has 0 extra frames at the beginning and 2 extra at the end of reel 5.

Team Negative1 : Presents
The Empire Strikes Back - Grindhouse (version 2-DCP sourced)
Welcome to our second official release, the 35mm version
of The Empire Strikes Back.
January 2015,
As a thank you to the OT community, and our fans, we are
releasing another early version of the movie. We hope that
people everywhere can view the original version as
Lucas released it back in 1981.We understand there is still a need for the fully restored
version to be completed. However, we think that documenting
the other prints we have is also needed for historical
perspective. Some, but, not all of the flaws are kept intact
to be indicative of the condition of the print.
Format : WMV
VIDEO : 1080p AUDIO : From Japanese Special Collection laserdisc(?)
Where : Currently, it will be uploaded to MySpleen
x parts as multiple files, with PAR files for correction. We anticipate releases on a.b.StarWars
Done
#3 Pete’s print preview wasn’t deleted, it’s “temporarily disabled”
but still listed in NiceGuy’s profile
I think “35mm ESB 2013 Private Screening Edition” aka “ESB DCP 2013.torrent”
was the only deleted one not already on usenet.
Anybody want to see it there?
IIRC that one was seeded by Williarob
Usenet of course.
