I can't say personally, but I've heard some things about Byrne.

Honestly I think a lot of the hate he recieves is more from his decisions such as that to remove Krypto from the continuity or rebooting the long dead Doom Patrol as if they'd never appeared before.

They weren't really follow ups. They were simply other shows that followed in Power Ranger's foot steps. Of course I enjoyed both VR Troopers and Beetle Borgs when I was a kid, though I'm sure they haven't aged well.

I don't know; X-Men and Spiderman TAS were pretty good, and I never really got into X-Men Evolution, but I know it has a strong fan-following, so it can't be all bad, can it?

Has anyone else seen the previews for the new animated "Ultimate Avengers" movie? As I understand it it is essentaially a direct translation (or as direct as possible for the format) of the Ultimates comic book, from which Captain America's famous "You think this letter on my Forehead stands for FRANCE?" line comes from.

Any thoughts? From the previews I've seen, the acting looks a bit iffy, but the animation looks very nice, so I'm looking forward to it.

For the record, the movie of which I speak is a Direct to DVD flick coming out next Tuesday in the States.
