I agree, Ric; I'm simply balking at the idea Ted Kennedy has any moral authority to say this.
Also, consider that at the time I didn't know that the game displayed realistic blood and gore. I was under the impression, until I did a bit more research that the violence level was T-Rated.
So I ammend the severity of my statement, though not the content.
Oswald definitely pulled the trigger, and I personally don't believe there was anyone pulling the strings. It's just not been disproven, so the conspiracy nuts will eat that fact up.
I think Oswald was the one and only gunman. It's possible he had people behind him who wanted Kennedy dead, and hired him to do it or used him as a scapegoat, but most of the consipiracy theories have absolutely no evidence.
The most likely scenario is that Oswald was a frickin' Communist that hated JFK and wanted him dead... and made it happen.
The video footage clearly shows the exit wound was in the front of Kennedy's head, which means the killing shot came from behind--end of story.

I agree with everything else, but it seems that Darth Cold started this thread to protest the posting of potentially NSFW pictures in the Beautiful Women thread. Then a bunch of people started posting them just to annoy the guy.
The civilian deaths at Hiroshima and Nagasaki are tragic, no doubt, but Truman had to make it clear we had the ability to utterly obliterate the Japanese nation.
The soldiers of the Japanese army were absolutely insane thanks to military brainwashing, and they would have fought us and any Japanese citizens that tried to oppose them tooth and nail to the death. Whether it was morally acceptable to nuke them is up for debate, but there is no doubt it brought the war to an end sooner than it would have otherwise ended and saved American and Japanese lives.
The cities bombed weren't arbitrary targets, either--they were militarily significant cities.
Yeah, it's definitely my video card that's the problem--I just don't have the money or desire to invest in a new one at the moment.
I'm not sure what exactly what mine is--it came with the system, and it doesn't have Hardware TnL, so a lot of games that I could theoretically run in memory alone don't work because of that requirement.

This once was a fine site to talk about Star Wars, but lately I've been avoiding the Star Wars board due to a lot of Lucas-bashing and the general sense that nothing new is going on in the Star Wars universe right now.

Chill out, kid. They're just joking because of your illogical request.
If you're dad thinks that you're looking at porn, the obivous solution would be to stop opening the BEAUTIFUL WOMEN thread. It's not that hard to miss considering that it's in ALL CAPS.
Originally posted by: Number20 I haven't noticed that the PC gaming hardware requirements have slowed in the need to upgrade. I remember that about 5-6 years ago, one could buy a pretty good off-the-shelf computer and play anything out there. Today, you need a special "gaming PC" in order to play some of the high-end games. As I said before, in consoles, the manufacturers are locked into certain hardware requirements, so you don't have that as an issue.
Exactly. My computer is a year old, 2.8 GHz 1024 MB Ram
...And I can play Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich, The Movies and Command and Conquer Generals. No other games made after 2001 have worked on this computer.

Then wouldn't it just be prudent to simply avoid the Beautiful Women thread? Nobody is making you open it.
Hm... I don't know what to tell you, Sage. I've enjoyed PC gaming, but anymore it's so hard to keep up with the technology curve that I really can't get into PC gaming anymore.

Actually I think you did a lot of good for our harmony--everyone who commented blasted your remarks as well they should. You actually united a bunch of different forum users on an issue. It takes someone truly disconnected from reality to do that.

I think I heard a Sony fanboy cry somewhere in the distance...
No, no, they'll say I'll 'change my mind' when the Wii falls into third place or whatever they think will happen.
I understand full well the Wii is nowhere near as powerful as the PS3, and I don't care. I played a PS3 at Wal-Mart and well, it was a PS2 game with better graphics. (Some NBA or NCAA Basketball game)
Graphics aren't what made me want a GC--Super Smash Bros Melee was. And online Smash Bros Brawl is ultimately what sold me on the Wii. (It's my email address for crying out loud.)
DS? Mario Kart and Castlevania. GBA? Super Mario World. X-Box? Knights of the Old Republic. PS2? Devil May Cry. 360? Gears of War and Dead Rising. Nothing made me want the PSP--I just recieved one for Christmas last year. The only game I even plan to buy for it in the forseable future is Rachet and Clank: Size Matters, because Rachet and Clank own my soul.
I plan to get a PS3 eventually, mostly for the Rachet and Clank game announced for it.
To be perfectly honest, I'm not done with this generation yet. I still have three Collosi to kill in Shadow fo the Collossus and haven't even got around to Killer 7, Paper Mario 2, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, God of War, Guitar Hero I or II, Bully, or Final Fantasy XII.

It was fun. All I got to play was Excite Truck, though... and only single player. It was okay... I really don't like racing games all that much, and the control is a bit too loose for my tastes. Still, from what I've played I'd give the game a solid 7/10. Might go up if I got a chance to try multiplayer.
Hey, WESHALPRESERVE, I understand your reaction--Obi's comments were ridiculous... but posting in most all caps like that isn't helpful. It hinders, not helps, the effectiveness of your message.
