I don't like PETA because they seem to care more for animals than people. There was a local news story a few months ago about a landlady who was a member of PETA shutting down a restaurant in her shopping center becaused they served meat. The shopping center had been there for years, and the restaurant had been there for most of that time. The PETA basically says that we would rather shut down a persons livelyhood than let them serve meat. Ridiculous. Also, they've gone on record equating the holocaust with the slaughter of chickens in the poultry industry. A million chickens aren't worth as much as one of the people murdered by the holocaust..ers... Besides, these chickens go to feed people.

So, no, I don't hate animals. I truly hate to see them suffer.

But PETA treats them as equals. Even if you don't belive that people have souls, what happened to survival of the fittest?

The broken sword/gun was a joke. I just meant that I hate things that don't work right. Like broken swords and jammed guns wouldn't. I feel the same about virus-filled computers and forks without prongs.

The ACLU rarely actually defends civil liberties and spends more time imposing their ultra-"progressive" views on others, attacking religious liberty, defending criminals from justice. I don' have anything against civil liberties themselves.

Real Terrorism intentionally targets people who don't deserve to die. The US hasn't done that in my lifetime. Despite its mistakes in the past, the US has helped more people in its existence than any other nation in history, and it is relativiely young at that. It is very offensive that you belive the US is a terrorist nation. I'm not even going to dignifiy that ridiculous assertion with a further response.

Finally, from what I have seen, liberalism tends to restrict more freedoms than it gives. "Liberalism" today isn't what it used to be, now seeming to be mainly concerned with forcing minority views on the majorities. (Belive it or not, conservative morals are held by a majority of Americans, reguardless of religion) It also seems the ultimate goal of liberalism is that the state runs the lives of the individual and redistributes wealth through lawsuits and heavy taxes, and keeps many, including the African minorites in economic opression under the myths that white people "hate" them and they can't sucede even if they try. Why do you think the NAALCP hates Bill Cosby so much? That is why I hate liberalism.

Finally, I never said that homosexuality was or was not a choice. You put words in my mouth.
I don't even what to fight that battle. Neither side can truly win, because we'll just refuse to be convinced that we're wrong. All belief is a choice.

I reccomend it. Iit made me realize how little I actually cared about Anakin and Padme from the movies. Salvatore did a good job with what he was given--I would assume it would be hard to write a book from a screneplay with such awful dialogue.

The truth is, that though there were twins in his early scripts, he sort of nixed the idea when he thought he'd only be doing one movie. He brought the idea back after Gary Kurtz could no longer restrain him in RotJ.

Oh tell me about it, it puts money in the hands of talentless producers and diminishes the opportunities for creative people in the industry. The only reference I can think of is in NJO Behind Enemy Lines, they go to Coruscant and find the ruins of the Jedi Temple's basement, and it contains a Force Source. But the temple itself isnt there.

But I was actually referring to the mentions that Palpatine destroyed all Jedi-related things, even erasing data on Jedi. It is absent entirely.

Horrible is a bit of an exaggeration.

On topic, the ability to dissapear is possibly explained in The Unifying Force. Basically, for a Jedi to retain his consiousness after death, he must "fall into" the Unifying Force, which is like a step above "the Living Force" Quigon does this after he dies, so his body doesn't dissapear.

I was surprised to see in Attack of the Clones (novel) that Yoda didn't know that Jedi could retain themselves after death. He didn't understand this until Qui-gon started screaming for Anakin to stop killing the Sand people. Even Yoda didn't know everything about the Force.
