THIS DVD HAD A VERY NICE PRESENTATION ALL AROUND. THE DIGITAL SURROUND SOUND WAS TOP NOTCH. ON THE UNRATED VERSION THE DIRECTOR WARNS THE VIEWER THAT THERE ARE PAUSES WHERE THE DELETED FOOTAGE HAS BEEN REINSERTED INTO THE MOVIE WHICH I THOUGHT WAS PRETTY NICE ALTHOUGH IT MADE ME AWARE OF THE PROBLEM THAT I MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE HAVE NOTICED SO MUCH.

THIS IS A BUY.

So what new content is there? Aside from the f****ing insulting line at the beginning, most of the things in the movie were fairly tame for modern PG-13.

Thrawn Trilogy

Excellent. The perfect, best place to begin reading SW novels. Actually, I never read Heir to the Empire, but I'm sure it is just as good as the other two. (?/10 9/10 9/10)

Hand of Thrawn

Perfect. I didn't think Zahn could do it agian, but he did. Granted I read them all this summer, after last command, I didn't think Zahn could take Thrawn anywhere else. But this proved he is the master. I enjoyed Vision more than Specter. (8/10 10/10)

New Jedi Order

Mostly great. There were a few boring ones, but a few out of ninteen is pretty good, right? Over allscore: (9/10)

Tatooine Ghost

Pretty good. I was a little dissapointed in the ending, and reading about the mechanics of dying in a desert is a little... unpleasatn., but it really made the end of NJO all the more worth it. (7/10)

A New Hope Novel

I don't guess this counts as EU per-say, but It was really amazing. It prooves that Lucas should probably say 'to Kessel' with his movie career and become a full-time novelist.(10/10)

Attack of the Clones Novel

RA Salvatore did the best with what he was given, and he did a really good job. But AoTC isn't quite as powerful without the visual stimuli, mostly because the characters are so much weaker than Han Leia and Luke. still a good read.(8/10)

Which also means that he's seen every insult we've leveld towards him out side private messages!!

MagnoliaFan Edits: Ep I "Balance Of The Force", and Ep II "The Clone War" (Released)
Time
Hey everbody. Thanks to the very light poster bwlag, I was able to recieve a copy of Balance of the Force today.

And I watched it when I should have been doing homework. OVerall, it was alright, but I think I prefer the Original version. For one thing, Jar Jar is even more annoying, coming across as a selfish prick, rather than a buffoon. I also thought the knew dialogue of the Nemoidians and Gungans made everything seem a little too dark. (Not to mention the bothersome fact that all the backwards alien dialogue tracts makes it sound like everybody inhales to talk.)

But Jar Jar calling that Bothan an ugly b***** was sort of funny. In a depraved sort of way.

You do realize that Syphon Filter was a bad example, right?

A very dated tactical shooter a good game does not make.

If the movie suck, I might be forced to actually read the book.

Don't make it sound like torture; HG is actually a fairly light read, and much lighter than LOTR.

I have a hard time getting into new stories. The only reason I've read 25 novels this year is because most of them were Starwars.
