I disagree. I think the point of them was that the Persians (in the fictional context of the film) celebrated grotesquery and freakishness--they celebrated things that made them less than human. (Notice all the freaks seemed to be less intelligent than actual people, almost animalistic in nature.)

I'd salivate if Metroid Prime 3 came in a Samus-helmet case. O_O

Of course, given my lack of extra funds, I'd probably just get the standard version anyway.

As for the Black 360, I really don't care much. Yeah, a 100 GB harddrive is nice, but I already have a 360 and don't use it for anything other than gaming. I don't need all that extra space.

Coov put it very sussinctly.

As for the theory of evolution, I think it's ultimately a non-issue; whether life literally began in six days, or whether that story is an allegory for evolution of the species, it doesn't explain where the matter and energy that make up the universe came from. The existence of lack thereof of God is not within the realm of science to prove.

I wish they sold soundtracks for games at Walmart besides flipping Halo. Seriously, Halo is a great game. I love fragging covenant ne'er-do-wells. But seriously, why is it that games like Halo create so much buzz and sell to the casual gamer and hardcore alike, while other masterpieces like "The Wind Waker" sell a realatively paltry 3 Million--less than half of Halo 2's sales?

Metroid Prime sold even less than TWW.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I was playing Twlight Princess. Minding my own business. I'd done about thirty minutes worth of busy work--collecting some rupees in order to afford the Magic Armor, finding a piece of heart. I don't want to head to the final dungeon until Friday, so I was going to prepare for the Cave of Ordeals and maybe try and finish it tomorrow.

Then, randomly, with no warning, my mom's maid comes up and UN PLUNGS THE WII. I hadn't saved, so I lost everything. And then, she stands there and LAUGHS ABOUT IT, saying she meant to un plug something else. I felt like kicking the friggin' chair across the room....

Didn't you say you liked conservatives on the "Politics" thread?

I can change my mind can't I?

I hate the fact that its getting more and more that everything seems to be "republicans vs. democrats". We are both Americans, and have to live with the choices both parties make, and no one ideology has a monopoly on good ideas. I also hate that some people would rather see this everything go to hell in a handbasket rather than the 'other party' getting credit for doing something good. Why hate someone because of their politicial ideology?

The problem is that, by and large, the elected and financial leaders of the Democrat party have an extremely far left agenda that I simply will never tolerate; and a lot of Americans feel the same way. They want to change the way America works, and I reject the idea that we should unite with people who essentially loathe the country as it is.

Furthermore, the far-left will never tolerate the Conservative agenda or conservatives as people--especially the MoveOn.org and George Soros crowd.

(And for future discussion of this, please go to the Politics thread and keep this one from turning into an outright argument.)

Yeah, I don't see the premise being so flimsy. It was based on a real event and adapted from a comic book. Sure kicks the pants off crap like Troy and Alexander. It did a lot better of a job depicting Greeks than they did (Persians are way off though). I think it is funny how bad the reviews for this movie are compared to the crap load of money it is pulling in.

You're surprised that the liberal press doesn't like a movie where a bunch of European white guys kick the butts of a bunch of Middle Easterners until one of their own betrays them?
