Should Lucas replace Guiness with an aged McGregor?

It also solidifies my opinion that Lucas should remake Episodes 4,5, and 6 to eliminate the "dated" feel and take care of the long list of inconsistencies between the trilogies. I watched Star Wars after checking out Episode III, and if I was even more nerdy than I already am, I could have made a list a page long with all the problems that exist between the movies.

Of course, recasting is out of the question. Who could replace the likes of Harrison Ford or Alec Guiness? No one, obviously. However, the technology now exists that would allow Lucas to insert the characters into a newly digitized background.

For the sake of consistency, this must be done.

I'm going to have to agree with Sessler.

First of all, there's the whole issue that ESB and RotJ don't really feel all that dated in the first place, Especially the DVD versions.

Second, there is NO way such a digitized back ground would look or feel natural. Part of the reason the OT worked so well is because the world looked used.

Third, it would cost probably millions, or at least 100s of thousands to replace every frame with "Modern" effects. It isn't like the OT was shot against a perpetual blue or green screen like the PT was.

The Imperial Symbol
Time
I just watched RotS again in theatre tonight, and I noticed that on Anakin's fighter there is the Imperial Symbol...

But on the Chancellor's Podium in the senate building, it still bears the symbol of the Old Republic. I was just wondering basically what the symbol meant before it became the Imperial Symbol? Can anybody shed some light on that?

To a large extent, no it doesn't, Ric. There are still some key-finding and puzzle-solving elements, but they take backseat to the shot-gun action and brilliant bossfights. The gameplay no longer uses fixed camera angles, but rather an over-the-shoulder view. You still have to turn before you can move in a direction, but it is no longer as confusing as the camera isn't jumping around. You aim by holding a shoulder button (R for your guns and grenades, L for your knife) and you get a laser sight with every gun to aim.

Also, all the guns can be upgraded and such, and new one's can be bought from an Aussie merchant. If you speak Spanish, you have an advantage as all the villagers shout at you in Spanish before attacking. They say things like "DE TRAS DE TI, IMBECIL" or "TE VOY A MATAR"

(If you have surround sound this is especially helpful.)

It's also as intense as all-get-out. Just when you think you should get a breather, a fifty foot tall "El Gigante" knocks down a door and attacks you. And don't get me started on the screams you'll have with the Regenerators. Those are Grade-A villain design.

My post was more of a "thank God you didn't or I would..." sort of thing. And I probably would.

What could possibly be the point of a Mary Kate and Ashley video game?
