- This film is an amazing anti-war film, and the cinematography is just stunning.
Toy Story 4 is a corporate cash grab. The third film wrapped everything up nicely.
Laserdisc and DVD can look stunning upscaled on a 4K display.
During the Quarantine Sale, I got Mishima’s short film Patriotism.
Added the 4K version of 1917 to my collection. Also weeded most of my CEDs, leaving only Wrath of Khan, Ghostbusters, China Syndrome, Race For Your Life Charlie Brown and Jewel of the Nile.
Raiders of the Lost Ark - This film is a classic in every sense of the word. I love the music by John Williams, which needs no explanation. The stunts are incredible, and feel real. The truck chase remains one of my all-time favorite action scenes. The Opening the Ark scene is more intense than most blockbusters nowadays. It is even funny in a few scenes, like when Indy just shoots the swordsman. I highly reccommend this film.
Do you plan on scanning the two trailers you’ve obtained as extras?
The SNES era was the best era of Final Fantasy. IV has the nostalgia factor, V has the innovative Job System and VI has the best story and characters. Kefka is the best villain in the franchise.
This Blu-Ray of Pinocchio is one of the worst covers I’ve ever seen.
The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut look better in 1.33:1 than they do in 1.78:1.
JEDIT: See below post.
Did any of the Cam versions of The Shining have the deleted hospital scene?
I’m more interested in a scan of JSC than Faces.
I’m curious as to how this magnetic stereo mix differs from the 1990 reissue’s amazing soundmix.
Bringing Palpatine back was necessary for the Skywalker Saga to properly conclude.
Cameron’s Avatar was released on VHS in South Korea, as was The Dark Knight. The Korean versions of Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale '06 are the last Bond films released on VHS, and not Die Another Day.
I have an official VCD of the 97 Special Editions, but want to know if the theatrical cut was ever officially released on VCD.
This is one of my favorite cover arts in my LD collection.
Are there any stills you can share?
While watching the Target Digibook Blu-Ray of Force Awakens on my Xbox One S, the video started glitching up halfway through. I finished watching the film on Vudu. First thinking the disc was the problem, I then bought the 2019 reprint of The Force Awakens. When I watched Coco the next day, I discovered it was the Xbox One S glitching up and not the disc. So I bought a cleaner disc for my Xbox One S.
What was it that you meant to say?
The Deutsch-Grammophon album Across the Stars has alternate violin versions of the eponymous song, Yoda’s Theme, Rey’s Theme, Luke and Leia that could be used to rescore parts of the film. I imagine the latter working well in the Luke and Leia flashback scene.
Seamless branching is easier on Blu-Ray. I would like there to be a BD-R version that has seamless branching between the Rey Nobody and Rey Palpatine editions.
I like the title Dark Empire for this edit.
Is the Magnetic sound print IB as well? If not, the 35mm forum has people that can help find another copy.
