I would make a digital copy of this rare tape if I were you. Empire and Jedi were also released on V2000, with the latter being one of the rarest titles on the format.

If you aren’t aware, there’s a huge amount of Criterion titles on HBO Max.
I did notice some, such as Seven Samurai. Problem is that HBO Max doesn’t seem to feature a Criterion hub in the same way they have for other channels, like Adult Swim for example, so I have no way of knowing the full extent of their Criterion selection from within HBO Max, unless there’s something I’m overlooking, that is.
Classic films are under the Turner Classic Movies hub, which is where all the Criterion titles are.

Sebastian Shaw footage can be taken from films he was in pre-ROTJ with the eyebrows digitally removed and rotoscoped onto Anakin’s body in jonh’s ghost scene.
I would love there to be a custom Blu-Ray version with menus and seamless branching between the two cuts.
AC3RF on Laserdisc is an overpriced gimmick only useful if you watch a lot of '90s action films. The PCM stereo is already amazing enough.
Just circling back on this after about a year. I’d still be curious to see how the Executor tapes were laid out with all of the extras. Even just screencaps of the bumpers between the supplements would be interesting to see. I can’t imagine they retained the title cards from the laserdisc set. Thanks!

It turns out I was not able to get either of the pre-97 Turkish dubs into a state where I wanted to replace the existing despecialized dubs. The theatrical dub, as mentioned before, was cool but pretty crazy and not quite the Star Wars experience. The Show TV 1993 dubs were also not something I decided I wanted to use, for different reasons. The Star Wars audio had been mixed with SE audio before I got it, presumably in an attempt to sync it and/or improve the audio quality, the Jedi audio was mostly okay but had some terrible moments, and Empire was so bad (audio quality) I didn’t bother to try syncing it.
However, I was able to use the Show TV dubs to further despecialize my existing Turkish dubs. Two “stormtrooper voices” scenes in Star Wars, the “Look sir, droids!” and the “Check the other side of the street. It’s locked.” scene – I could swap out the voices without really affecting anything since the voices were one-offs anyway, and also remove Special Edition music and sound effects at the same time, so that’s what I did. In Empire, I swapped in the Vader-Emperor dialogue from the 1993 dub, and now at least Vader’s speaking in Turkish now, if unfortunately in another actor’s voice. Also, the audio quality drops quite noticeably in that scene, but the goal wasn’t to make it seamless, it was just to get rid of that section being in English.
So the Turkish trilogy dub I’m sharing is still the same despecialized dub I’ve been sharing, just with a couple edits so that it’s all in Turkish now – let me know if you need a link. I also currently have the theatrical dub and the 93 Show TV dubs (SW and ROTJ only) synced for anyone who’s interested, but I likely won’t hold onto either of them very long, since I generally only keep one dub per language, and I personally favor the despecialized ones.
Have you considered trying to use audio noise reduction on the Turkish Vader Emperor dialogue scene to make it more seamless?
I bought the Making of Star Wars/SPFX Empire Magnetic Video Laserdisc yesterday. The only further Star Wars video I might buy is Classic Creatures on either VHS or Laserdisc.

I got the Special Widescreen Edition Laserdisc of Empire. I’m done collecting Star Wars features on home video, but might get the two documentaries I’m missing.

4K UHD is often excessive. A lot of the time, a properly mastered SD or 1080p release is good enough for a film.
I ended up getting the 1989 Special Widescreen Edition of Empire. I’m finished collecting Star Wars videos for real.

I just replaced my Faces laserdiscs of Star Wars and Jedi with the CBS/FOX Special Widescreen Edition laserdiscs. I plan to replace Faces Empire with the SWE version of Empire as soon as I can.
