Experiment with the deleted Palpatine line - “You’re journey nears it’s end.”

Theres a removed line featured in the TROS D23 Special Look, where Palpatine tells Rey “You’re journey, nears It’s end”. Any ideas where it could have possibly fit in the film. Was initially thinking it could be implemented during Rey’s vision while training in the jungle as a subtle echo of his voice calling out to her.

During the approuch shot on Exegol that was extended with ILM footage, with all the ships flying towards the Final Order fleet. Perhaps a couple more ship sounds could be added?
So I take it Hal wants to keep the red tank then? I’m mostly concerned about consistency with future content tbh.
If it was up to me, I’d probably do a blue-ish Kaminoan stylised tank.
I think I saw an alternate version of the scene where Rey sees Palpatine’s silhouetted reflection, is there a download?
I added in boba fett and mando, because u do see a shot of the Slave I and a mandalorian fang fighter (for like a milli second of a milli second, if that counts for anything). I also got better sources for the deleted pilots scenes. A certain someone that I used, will likely be aged in collab with MR. Again, feel free to bash and maybe enjoy =D
It’s certainly an interesting idea. I’ve certainly imagined something like this since leaving the theatre but systematically speaking a lot of work needs to be done before it can work, not a big fan of that music change halfway through feels very out of place.
Put together a rough concept to give an idea of how the scene / pacing could play out in the film the scene can work in a couple other places, It’s mainly just concept images so far, managed to get my hands on a UHD version of the Imperial Shuttle shot from Skenera, just keyframed out the Slave 1 so the shot can utilise as much as frame possible while also hiding the ship.
Thinking perhaps the hologram at the end would be better as a galaxy map simular to the Force Awakens rather than a Resistance/Rebel logo being displayed
Wouldn’t they be fighting the Final Order though? Like, the only First Order present on Exegol are on the Steadfast.
I mean, this is why I didn’t share the idea in Ascendant I’m not one to ever complain, but to have an idea / creative thought be broken down into a thousand pieces no matter what it is every time gets abit jarring.
But to be fair, they recorded this audio while Billie Dee Williams was filming his Exegol / cockpit scenes, if the Final Order is this brand new thing; which has come out of nowhere in the last day or so the galaxy is more likely to know what the First Order is which has been around for a few years.
How bad does it look if you just crop out Slave I?
I’ve tried the resizing the shot in order to hide the Slave 1, but it adds a lot of pixelation, so the quality doesn’t look so great. What Movies Remastered sent me I believe is only 1080p, what I really need is 4K UHD; does anyone know where I can get it? If I crop it in a higher resolution should look good.
I’m leaning toward a two-shot solution myself.
I feel like it should be you’re current shot, then Posketti’ overview leading straight to Kylo in the forest, don’t really need 3

Great stuff, only thing that gets me is Director Krennic’s Shuttle just parked there, hoping Popsketti can do us some First Order Tie Fighters when the time comes.
I’ve tried to remove the Slave 1 from the Imperial Shuttle Hyperspace shot from the Mandalorian, easy to mask out however it ruins the Hyperspace effect, hoping someone else might have a better idea of how todo it.

I think it could be interesting if some form of force sound plays when Finn senses the tracking beacon aboard Pryde’s star destroyer and the force theme is playing.
I think it works well enough. Can you please send me the audio? Ideally separate from the final clip? If you could export all channels if you added reverb, that’d let me implement and adjust further if needed.

Should be easy to make it fit, I just altered the levels to make it fade in correctly.
I agree the thematic use of the Sith Spinning Scream is a bit shaky, but in terms of how it would sound in the moment, I really love the idea. It’s worth trying out at least.
I definitely think its worth testing the sound right as he explodes; or slightly after.

Well he’s not actually doing the spin / force dash, It’s more for the sound which is a call back to the moment / Sith scream. It would also add a spiritual undertone to his death almost like his spirit is being killed rather just one of many clone bodies. I quite liked how they made Palpatine more creature-like using zombie type sounds in Revenge Of The Sith; creepy groans right after his alchemy transformation, made him less human and more of a monster - reminds of that unused line ‘More than a clone, less than a man’
If it’s strictly Palpatine vs. Rey, then yeah I agree. I’m working on emphasizing the “I am all the Sith” idea throughout the movie, with Palpatine’s current body literally containing the spirits of the Sith that came before him. If this is included, it wouldn’t come out of nowhere, it would be built up throughout the movie whenever Palpatine speaks.
I definitely would like to see Palpatine’s Sith scream - most will know from Revenge Of The Sith; implemented into his death some how.
No idea where they’re intended to go, but honestly those ‘sith whispers’ are very out of place during that moment really pulls you out of the climatic moment with Rey and Palpatine.
Okay, I want to try this now. But does anyone have an idea of what footage to put the transmission into?
Still putting the sequence together, right now considering animating the entire Hyperspace / Imperial shuttle shot in blender because I cannot access The Mandalorian scene, I’ve already cleaned up the audio for Lando and managed to remove the kid cheering, but definitely should still be static / crackly when Kylo hears it.
Hoping to get some help rotoscoping a shot of Ben for the cockpit shot, attempted it but had some issues with the lighting / edges.

Yeah there hasn’t been any full Star Destroyers in the series yet, but I’d expect something like that soon enough. The episode for the Hyperspace shot with Imperial shuttle is the last of season 2, ‘the rescue’ Chapter 16. Time stamp I believe is around 10:20 to 10:35
I’m not able to access the full res Mandalorian episodes but, the Imperial Shuttle shot in hyperspace with the Slave 1 trailing a little ways behind works really well, just would need to find a way of masking it out without ruining the hyperspace effect.
Only other thing is finding some good Ben Solo footage for when he’s piloting; also a possible reaction shot for when he hear’s the transmission, scarred footage of Kylo from TLJ can work if I’m able to mask it out in After Effects usally depends on the angle.

Currently been cleaning up the Lando audio from the Star Tours ride however; theres a kid speaking over part of the message, unfortunately all the youtube recordings of the ride have crowd cheers with the exception of the one I have found.

Could be interesting if Kylo some how found Exegol again by following the fleet call out, the audio of Lando rallying allies to Exegol on Star Tours is very interesting.
I honestly really love subtle little edits like this.
Since Hal wasn’t able to hear it, I tried making it a little bit more apparent; for me the sound makes it feel like were really hearing Palpatine’s inner Sith spirit screaming out. George gave Palpatine monster like groans in Episode III after he’s electrocuted to make him seem more creature like / less human.
