I was always awed by Star Tours as a child because I knew so little about it. My friend's older brother had gone and told us it was "awesome" which added to the mystique.
Just had a quick look and the USA version does indeed follow the Sci-Fi channel version with the widescreen shot.
Interesting note, I hadn't watched that tape since I got the faces VHS set for my birthday in '95. I had stopped it right at the end of the tape and never rewound it all those years ago.
I have a USA Network recording from about '92/'93. I'll check when I get home whether or not it goes widescreen at the end. Sadly, I don't have any video capture tools with me at the moment, but I doubt it would be a different edit to any of the others.
Wasn't that supposed to be the point of "the project we must not speak of"? So that anyone could do whatever modifications they wanted individually?

Somebody, mverta I think it was you, showed the difference between using a modern bulb and a 70's bulb on a tech IB print. Clearly, the light source plays a part in how the colors appear.
Have the reference frames Harmy is using been created with modern bulbs, or 70's ones?
Sorry, really novice question that was probably covered, but is this going to be 24p or is it the normal PAL framerate?
