The Game - Criterion (Released)
Time

just a big shout out to say that digiatlfreaknyc has done it again. An amazing archive 2 disc set of David Finchers “The Game” Criterion Collection Laserdisc.

The transfer is amazing and comes with full 5.1 and commentary.

Disc 2 is jam packed with all the criterion supplements and some japanese subtiltled extras too including a 30 minute making of!

All this is wrapped up with highly professional looking musical menus.

This is a great compliment to his se7en release and is available at myspleen. I urge you to go and get it now. It’s an amazing set.

Star Wars: The Interactive Video Board Game (1996, Parker) (* unfinished project *)

I'm in the UK. I can cap this. Just send me a tape. In regards to "cleaning" etc I am a novice, so I think I may be better off Just sending a DVD of the raw capture to someone. Now, I use "huffyuv V2.1.1" codec so 1 hr is about 30 - 40 GB then I compress it down to XVID using Virtual dub.

My equipment includes a SVHS player with digital Time Base correction and Noise reduction

Se7en: Criterion Edition preservation set
Time
Can't wait for the game. I do hope you include EVERYTHING as It's also a long wanted release for me! :-) As Long as something in my house plays it.. I don't care! :-)

Ps. The Presentation of the SE7EN score was damn slick! Excellent.

DVD LAB is a pretty powerful tool. I did a disc for BBC TV's "THREADS" on it a while back and was very impressed with the results. Your se7en disc has just given me more inspiration to delve back into DVD LAB.

looking forward to the Blade Runner Extras too.

Now... If only someone could do the criterion Close Encounters........

Se7en: Criterion Edition preservation set
Time
well, it took to a week to grab.. but I now have it..

FANTASTIC!

I don't think that I could have imagined the vast array of supplementals that I have just sat through.

It is an amazing 2 disc set that you have produced digitalfreaknyc and I applaud you.

The menus are top notch.. very professional and better than some retail discs!

The layout is clear and concise, what you click is what you get! :-)

I will clarify the problems that people have been having

On my 5 year old sony DVP536 clicking on "promotional art" and any part of the soundtrack stops the disc. SO those features are not available.

However....

like chumlee..on my 10 month old XBOX the discs play fine. no errors at all!

so it is definitely a compatibility problem with older players/drives and not the discs.

Once again, EVERYONE should get this set ASAP.. it is an ESSENTIAL companion to the new line DVD.. and dare I say.. BETTER than the new line supplementals!

A wonderful , wonderful set digitalfeaknyc.

Many many thanks

Blade Runner Covers
Time
Blade Runner, I've been obsessed by it since 1988. It formed part of my degree.

I love it.

And yes.. In my opinion...

Deckard is as human as they come.

I would go so far as to say that it is not a cult film at all. For a start TOO MANY people love and own a copy of it on VHS, Laserdisc, DVD or all three.

It has now been recognised as the classic that it is too. SO I'm sure that disqualifies it from being a cult.

I would love to see that Hi Def version on DVD. Can't wait till it hits myspleen! :-)

oooooohhhhhhhhhhh! I'd LOVE to see that! I discovered the story to that on a website about 2 years ago, and it's fascinated me ever since....
