Petition for the Theatrical Cuts of the Original Star Wars Trilogy on Blu-ray
Time

More of what he is saying (apparently he has all 3 of the OT) -

I wish I had a way to find out where to get these burned onto blu ray but in all honesty I have no clue. My friend did it as a favor and he's a busy guy so i was lucky to get the set I do have. All I can tell you is they are top notch and not your typical 720 downloads from the net. I did a search and I couldn't find them anywhere online, but maybe they will start popping up soon

The detail is so intense, and blows the dvds to pieces. But the droid shots remind me of how much the detail stands out on all of the intentional rust and imperfections on R2 and Threepio, it looks totally awesome

This is the reply I have back from him ..

No that's not him, however adywans cut of ANH is nothing less then spectacular and needs to be seen.

I am totally honest in saying I don't know where these came from outside of my friend who had copies made from overseas. So I wouldn't know how to help people out in finding it.

Some more chat about the SpikeTV add-ons

For the footage from Yuma - was it Dickey Beers or Jeremy?

I don't know what Beers looks like but both shots of the different people were not Jeremy

The shots of Fett getting his back pack adjusted definitely wasn't Bulloch. At the time I assumed it was a stunt man.

There was one shot of Fett walking away from camera and turning to the side which might have been a younger Bulloch. Not sure about that one.

I thought the behind the scenes Prowse/Hamill duel footage was pretty interesting. Had a long hallway behind them with a film technician working in the background. Also had someone standing just off to the side with another lightsaber ready.

SPIKE had 3 more mini documentaries on Sunday - 1) This weapon is your life, 2) The Wookies are back and 3) The Chosen One

Jeremy was quoted to have never been in Yuma ... but whether that's true or not, nobody in that suit resembled Jeremy Bulloch

Found out this info -

Spike had 3 making of specials (aired one w/ ea. PT Ep.) 1 - new fighting (with lightsabers) from AOTC (had behind the scenes clips - also behind the scenes footage of Vader with helmet off but in suit dueling with Mark Hamill during rehearsal)

2 - History of Boba Fett (with the footage in Yuma with Fett's helmet off and getting his jet pack on), interviews/footage with all three Fett actors.

and the final one 3) was the making of the Zam Speeder chase

I would imagine there will be something additional thrown in w/ ea. of next weekends OT airings

This past & next weekend(s) SpikeTV is airing the 6 'SW' films

I wasn't planning on & didn't watch them (I've already heard their showing the Full screen versions and have no use)

I just noticed someone posted (elsewhere), having seen some rare footage Saturday around 4:30 EST before Ep II started on Spike.

They were telling the story of Boba Fett and for part of it they were showing BTS shots.
There was a stuntman they had in a suit as Bulloch was talking during the interview when they were showing the rare 'ROTJ' footage

Now this could be rare footage already released, just wondering if it may be new - rare footage.

I know they are also planning on bits and spots featuring 'The Force Unleashed' for the gamers out there

Did anybody per chance watch any of the PT this past weekend for any 'New' added footage outside of the airing of the films?

Sorry to slightly stray (from the project) JD, couldn't help but to elaborate on this -
But GoldStone9, to expand on that third 'SW' quote you posted

What in the World?

An interesting little quote that I found while researching for the Star Wars Aficionado's Dbl. Iss. 5-6 'The Making of 'ANH' (Summer '04)

taken from Micheal Ondaatje's '03 book - 'The Conversations: Walter Murch (GL's good friend) and the Art of Editing Film'

"Originally George was going to direct APOCALYPSE NOW, it was a project that George and John Milius developed for ZOETROPE. That was back in '69. Then, when Warner Bros. cancelled the financing for ZOETROPE, the project was abandoned for a while. After the success of GRAFITTI in '73, Lucas wanted to reveive it, but it was still too hot a topic, the war was still on and nobody wanted to finance something like that. So George considered his options. What did he really want to say in APOCALYPSE? The message boiled down to the ability of a small group of people to defeat a gigantic power simply by the force of their convictions. He decided, All right, if it's politically too hot as a contemporary subject, I'll put the essence of the story in outer space and make it happen in a galaxy long ago and far away. The Rebel group were the Vietnamese, and the Empire was the United States and if you have the force, no matter how small you are, you can defeat the overwhelmingly big power. STAR WARS is George's transubstantiated version of APOCALYPSE NOW."

The first Prgm. that I took in at C4 (LA) last May was Dr. D. W. Reynolds & Lorne Peterson - 'The Archeology of 'SW'

w/ a Ph.D in Archeology his wealth of information as pertaining to 'SW' could also stretch into areas outside of his viewing 'The Lost Cut' as he has written articles for the Star Wars Insider

- He ventured to Africa (Tunisia) in '95 and submitted a piece entitled 'Return to Tatooine' (Iss. # 27)

- Iss # 48 featured David again scouting out all of the 'SW' shooting locations one can find within the U.S w/ his article 'Star Wars RoadTrip'
