Leave it to Mala to turn this thread from “which version is least bad” to “this is why I love the special editions!”

YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT… YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT…
All we’re saying is he’s a similar type character. The fact Eastwood’s character doesn’t have a name is incidental to the plots.
Dooku lightening was one of the stupidest things in the prequels.
Looking forward to A Few Credits More and The Light, the Dark, and the Wookie.
I figured you meant he was old and should go to Vegas to resolve a midlife crisis.

I’d also be interested in a Vader standalone set during the time between ANH and ESB based off the Vader comics by Marvel. Vader trying to regain his position in the Empire, using Boba Fett to track down information on the Rebel that blew up the Death Star, having him plot to overthrow the Emperor, and wipe out an entire squadron of Rebels on his own after the set a trap for him. It’d be interesting to have an entire Star Wars movie focused on the villian, with the good guys only dropping in from time to time as opposed to the other way around.I would rather have a Vader film set between ROTS and SW. Not only would it give us Vader killing Jedi (like what should have been shown in ROTS) but we would get to see Vader struggle with his diminished potential, his Dark Side training, the actions he took in ROTS and how he got used to his cybernetic suit. There’s a lot more room for growth with that option.
EDIT:
Hopefuy with the success of the main saga films like TFA, Disney will become confident enough to really take risks with the spinoffs.
Rogue One seems to be going into a different and bold direction with it essentially being a war film. Some will complain that “It doesn’t feel like Star Wars” which is a complaint that will be abundant as it pertains to these new films but it doesn’t matter to me as long as they make good stories and try something different every now and again. Hopefully Episode VIII will continue this trend and seeing as how Rian said the film would be weird it seems as though risks are being taken in that film as well.
In a world without the cheesy prequel backstory, Aniken Skywalker, a Star Wars Story would’ve been awesome. That, RO, and maybe some sort of Kenobi solo story, would’ve made a great prequel trilogy.
I thought he was impscum for a second. Both of you guys needs to leave.

I mean, no different than any other person I had no feelings for whatsoever dying. I wouldn’t jump for joy or anything, that would be low indeed. But nor would I be particularly sad, just as is the case when some famous musician I don’t listen to dies.
Uh, Empire and Jedi are sequels…
Good job reading the rest of the thread first before posting
The new 2004 Jabba was whipped cream on a pile of shit.
Not interested in buying though, because those movies are still trash, 2D or 3D lol.
Not interested in buying either, because of the above, and because 3D is trash, TFA or Prequels.
The digital bits article still stands behind the PT set rumors, too.

Keep in mind, our sources are still telling us that there may also be a Blu-ray 3D box set of the Star Wars prequel films as well, and we’ll post more on that soon.
They had to kill off Han in part in case Harrison Ford died before they could film VIII. You can’t start off the crawl with, “Han Solo has died in a freak rathtar accident.”
Still better than the prequels.
And Bud Light is still better than PBR…
You’re wrong. And you drink light beer. Feel ashamed.
No, I despise light beer. What I mean is The Holiday Special may be better than the PT, doesn’t change the fact the HS still sucks.
Still better than the prequels.
And Bud Light is still better than PBR…
Disney doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to jump on the 4K bandwagon just yet. And unless a modern film has been rendered at 4K, or an older film has a shiny new 4K master, you’re paying for an upscale anyway.
I guess we’re operating under the assumption that due to the date of the LF acquisition, any master of the OUT will have been finished in 4K.
Pabst Blue Ribbon
I’d rather watch Revenge of the Sith

Not sure what’s worse: the fact these pages exist or the fact you searched for them.
If we don’t have that by 2020…
I’ll wait for the inevitable ST box set when all is said and done before I buy TFA again (assuming such a set will include the new features). One commentary isn’t enough for me to pony up for 3D, given that I don’t have a 3D TV.
I won’t rebuy if/until it comes out in 4K. Even though I don’t have 4K now, I’d like to future proof my SW collection even if I don’t yet have the means to play it.
"ROTJ is on the same level as ESB and ANH"
OhThat is a force kick my friend.
Nope.
That’s not how the force works.
Further evidence of Tak’s assertion that the print DCP he saw was from some new master?

Nah, that’s from one of the prequels. You can tell by the ‘W’
