Not sure if this is the right place to ask but does anyone have or know where I can find Bobson’s theatrical reconstruction of Revenge of the Sith? I’ve been going out of my way to get the closest approximations to the theatrical cuts at least until TN1 or someone fully decides to give them the 4K77 treatment and I really only need ROTS to complete them.

Hello, Does anyone know anything about Harmy’s Super Special Edition (I think that’s what he said)? Harmy hosted a live YT stream today showing work he’s doing for Despecialized 3.0. In it he said something about a project he had that was before his partly Despecialized titled Super Special Edition. Does anyone have any info about it, and/or from where I may be able to acquire it?

I had the faces VHS box set years ago, that I bought brand new at Tower Records. I didn’t make much of it then. I gave them to one of my children some years later. He doesn’t remember what he did with it. It was in a large rectangular box, a sliding case. It was sweet.
This is it. I had no idea. I wasn’t looking for it. In my excitement I neglected to look it up.
Did you ever get excited because you came across an old tape or disc of Star Wars only to be let down?
My grandson and I went to a local Goodwill to check out the dvds when my grandson says, “Look… Star Wars.” He hands me a box set. It took a few seconds for my brain to comprehend that I was holding a '92 OT VHS box set. The cases are in rough shape. The tapes seem okay. $10 later, I am stoked. My grandson keeps looking at me and laughing because I keep saying “Yeeeeeesssss!” We get home, I get him settled, rewind IV, press play and…NOOOOOO!!! It’s Full Screen. SMH. A quick look at the beginning of each tape shows me that they seem to be in good, maybe okay condition. I will, of course, still watch them, but it just won’t be the same.

I have looked around online for commentary subtitles and found nothing. In some unrelated reading I came across something curious, possibly of interest to you.
If you or someone you know runs a Linux os, you could check out Kdenlive. It’s a free, open-source video editing software that, according to the introduction page, has “subtitling feature with automatic speech to text conversion.” There is a Windows version, but it has issues; a MAC fork is a work-in-progress – see the introduction page for more information. I hope this helps.

“GOUT” stands for George’s Original Unaltered Trilogy; it refers to the 2006 dvd bonus disc release.

Hello. I’m Cal. I’m a big fan of the Original Trilogy. I saw Star Wars as a boy when it released in '77. I really enjoyed it but did not get caught up in fandom, at that time. Many years later, while compiling a somewhat modest VHS library, I bought an Original Trilogy S.E. box set. I’m not sure of the year. I do remember there was a face on each of the covers, the tapes sat side-by-side, and the sleeve holding the tapes slid out from the side. At some point I misplaced it, and have not seen it since. But, I digress. A few years ago I came across Harmy’s works, thestarwarstrilogy.com, fanedit.org, and this site, as well as a few others; I don’t recall which specifically. As a result I have since put together a small collection of Star Wars VHS, DVD, and Bluray box sets, as well as a few individual DVDs, while also putting together a nice collection of fan edits, and of course the great restorations from here. In short, I am now a fan. Also, I recently got into working with subtitles – just as a hobby – though no where near the calibre as @CatBus, nor @schorman. I’m a bit of an introvert, which I mention only to compliment those of you here, at thestarwarstrilogy.com, and at fanedit.org who have been receptive to my inquiries, and patient with me in my P.M.s. (As you and they know, I have a tendency to ramble, a bit.) I am happy to be of help in whatever way I am able.

Does the OOT subs include Swahili? My son-in-law has been sucked into the Star Wars universe recently, in large part by, and credit is due to DigModiFicaTion (fanedit.org). He created a “Youngling” edit of ESB for younger kids. As a result my grandson was able to watch. Soon after my granddaughter, his younger sister, got hooked, and thereby has subjected her father, my son-in-law, to watching it well over a dozen times. While my son-in-law understands English fluently, I’m thinking he would appreciate it more in his native tongue. On that note, does anyone know if there is a Swahili audio?

Hi. Any suggestions on getting either an empty slipcase and case art or finding someone/where to get it made. Specifically I’m looking for case art for the 2015 Complete Saga, as well as the slipcase into which it is housed. I have the 2011 edition, but don’t like the case or art work. The 2015 has the same discs but different case and housing/box for the case. Any suggestions?

Hello, Thanks to the admins of this site. Thank you to all who contribute. I have been a part of your community for several months, and am admittedly still a newb. I have been a fan of Star Wars since having seen the original in '77. I am old-school and partial the O.T. over all others. While I was away from the S.W. galaxy for many years, Harmy’s DEED reminded me what I was missing, had missed. I look forward to his 3.0. Thanks to Adywan for his Revisited edits. While I am not particularly a S.E. fan, I greatly appreciate his work, enough to locate and purchase the '97 SE Platinum tril. on VHS in anticipation of downloading his work.

Awesome edit!!! I saw Episode IV before it was Ep. IV, in a theater back in 1977 when I was 5 years old. I have a grandson who is now five. Being very cautious of what I allow him to watch, I sometimes wondered when he would get to watch any of the S.W. movies, more specifically one of the O.T. When I came across this one, and watched it, I was very happy not only with what DigMod had done in content, but also in quality. He wrote that his intention was, “To create a child friendly (6 and younger) viewing experience of the greatest Star Wars film that I can watch with my kids.” Mission accomplished. My grandson loved it!!! DigModiFicaTion’s edits never disappoint, in fact they rock! (This coming from both me and my youngling).

Regarding II, TAS, the 2 pixels made the difference. I ran it through Handbrake and resized it at 544 instead of 546. It worked. The picture is now the same across all devices. As for the zip files, my mistake was attempting to download the entire 720p file as compressed. It was fine when I downloaded the separate files. Thanks for the great work. Watching II now.
HAL, I almost forgot, when I downloaded III, LoE, I received a bunch of .zip files. How do I work them to make them into a movie?
I am no closer to figuring out what is going on. I have the 720p of your I & II on the same flash drive. There are four devices into which I plugged in said USB: tv1=1080p, tv2 720p, Blu-Ray1 and 2 are both Sonys–one is an upgrade to the other. When I play CoD on any of the four devices there is no problem; they all display it with bars on top and bottom. When I play TAS on the tvs there is no problem, but on the blu-rays the picture takes up the entire screen making the images too tall. From what I can tell both movies’ display specs are nearly identical. The only difference is 2p between them–CoD is 1280x544, TAS is 1280x546. Any ideas?

Yes. I downloaded the files, I & II, both in 720p. I loaded them onto a flash drive, and played them, back-to-back, on the same blu-ray player. I played fine; II is stretched. I’m running II through Handbrake to see if it makes a difference.

HAL, Thank you for the edits, and the selections on your GD page. I’m currently watching The Approaching Storm. I have a question about it: I downloaded the 720p. The picture has no bars and the image is long, vertically. Did I download the wrong file? I didn’t see any other options for 720p.
