Info & For Sale: What Original 70's and 80's StarWars Figure do you need????
Time
While the figures are in pretty good condition (from what I can tell just from the photo), they are pretty common figures. And accessories are what people need most. All of us as kids lost those damn little guns too easily. Hell, I have two to three of each of those figures myself. Some with accessories.

Unfortunately, you are not selling the five I most need. Five of the most rare.

The Return of Six Degrees of Star Wars
Time
If you say so. Let's see...

Victor Andre (Voyage dans la lune, Le) Georges Méliès (Violons d'Ingres) Yves Gladine (Suivez-moi jeune homme) Gabriel Jabbour (Galette du roi, La) Jean Rochefort (Prêt-à-Porter) Lili Taylor (The Haunting) Liam Neeson

Just barely and I'm sure it's not the most efficient way, but it works.

Going back to classic originals (and I'm not sure about it being done because this last one waxed me too much to try this one), but...

The Incredibles was nominated and won Best Animated Feature.

It was nominated in that category because that is where the filmmakers opted to make it eligible. A filmmaker can say what category they want their films considered for in terms of nominations, then the nominations come out, and then the Academy votes. That's how it works. Didn't you ever wonder why Fahrenheit 9/11 wasn't nominated in the Documentary category? It's because Michael Moore didn't want it considered in that category. He wanted to give it a chance to be the Best Feature Film winner (and the first documentary to do so). So he declared that he wanted it considered in that category as opposed to the Doc cat. Nominators didn't agree that it was worthy and, so it never received a nomination.

If Brad Bird, Pixar, and Buena Vista had so chosen, they could easily have done the same thing with The Incredibles. But they were smart and realized that it didn't stand a chance against the other likely nominated films and wisely chose to have it considered for the Best Animated Feature category. Which it won. That's how the Oscars work.

Just remember when you bitch about "The Academy" and it's nominations and voting, you are bitching about people like Brad Bird who is one of the voters. I think Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man) is a member as well. The very people that are in the movies you want nominated are those that are voting.

Should it be or should it not be? That is the question...

'Friday' Horror Draws Tarantino
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Quentin Tarantino is considering writing and directing a new installment in the long-running "Friday the 13th" horror film series.

Tarantino is in early talks with New Line Cinema, where he is scheduled to meet with executives this week.

The original "Friday," released in 1980 and featuring the hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees, spawned a series of sequels, including the 2003 hit "Freddy vs. Jason," in which Jason squared off against Freddy Krueger from the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series.

New Line tried to make a sequel to "Freddy vs. Jason" involving the "Evil Dead" character Ash, but it couldn't reach a deal with "Dead" rights holder Sam Raimi.

According to those familiar with the discussions, Tarantino is intrigued with the idea of playing with one of the movie's classic horror villains. If the project does develop, it could be the first film Tarantino directs outside Miramax Films.

The filmmaker, whose credits include "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction," recently signed on to direct the season finale of CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

StarTrek Movie 11 is a go...

I hadn't either until Gundark mentioned it. But it makes perfect sense. If UPN is dumping the show, there are very few networks that would be likely to pick it up other than SciFi and Spike. And, since I think Spike already airs reruns of some of the ST series, it makes perfect sense. I could be wrong about Spike airing ST already, though. I just seem to recall something along those lines.

Another good thing about it is that Spike would probably keep it going for a while, too. If they can keep production costs down and keep donations coming in, this would be a great way for them to spur on future original programming for the netlette.
