Oh, I agree. We need to all start sending at the same time so these media outlets are not receiving them in occasional trickles. That's easy for them to ignore. But when their inboxes are inundated with messages all about the same topic, it's a bit harder to ignore.

I also think it might not be a bad idea for each of us to write a letter and post our rough drafts on this page. Then we can read each other's ideas and suggest some of our own and also take ideas from each other's letters. We don't want them to sound exactly the same, but it helps for us all to at least include the same points. Kinda keeps any one of us from sounding a bit more daft than the rest.

How did you get burned on Tron? Are there two versions available? I thought there was only one.

I initially thought I got burned when I bought Monty Python and the Holy Grail and, literally two weeks later, the SE comes out. Pissed me off until I discovered there's virtually no difference.

I am about to be burned by Casablanca, though. That was one of my first DVDs and now a 2 disc set is going to be coming out with deleted scenes (not spliced back in to the best of my knowledge). I was just about to buy Scarface also until I found out late last week that it's being rereleased in November in a 2 disc set. The same goes for The Seven Samurai which I was about to buy until I found out Criterion is rereleasing it. Maybe it'll actually be cheaper (sheeyah, right, and monkeys might fly out of my butt).

Well, actually we are upstairs from a couple of college kids (brother and sister - and she's pretty cute) who'd be more than happy to party along with us. You might like her, Motti. I knocked on her door yesterday because my wife saw that she left her keys in the door. She opened the door in a bathrobe and, when I pointed to her keys in the lock, she said, "ohmigod, that's my drunk ass talking. They've been there since last night! Thank you so much!" Funny as hell. Oh, and she's got some killer looking friends. All around Luke's age.

Ummm.... guys? Hate to break it to you, but that talk of a basement was what I will do when I get a basement. Don't have one yet. I'm in a two bedroom apartment. When it happens, we can have the OT.com convention there. Until then, though...

But I do like the idea.
