GREAT NEWS ALL!
Time
Agreed. I think it will be released because it would be commercial suicide to not do so considering how many people now own DVD players and have quickly adopted this media form as their one and only form on which to purchase movies. Like we've argued in other threads, HD-DVD will be released, but it will only find a niche following for several years. So, not releasing the ST OT on DVD would be like some big artist only releasing their new album on SACD or DVD-A because it's the best format and completely negating the hordes of fans who only have standard CD players. Sales would bottom out. Period, end of quote.

Out of town...

I've always preferred the actress myself. Ever since her China Beach days. Dana Delaney is yummy. But, then again, the actress who played Maddie (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) was Fletch's better half in the first Fletch movie. She was hot there, too. Much hotter than she was in Tombstone.

Any interest in a selling/trading forum? Or perhaps a toys/memorabilia forum?
Time
I think a toy forum would work well. There are a few out there right now, but they are either specialized to one toy line or they charge for membership. If Jay created such a thing and we sent out notices to some of the toy sites out there, I'm sure we could get a pretty big fan following. As for the slow nature of this forum, it's a very specialized forum in which most people would only visit the site to sign the petition and leave it at that. To find people dedicated enough to the cause that aren't already big followers of other forums and, therefore, busy posting there, is probably pretty rare. That's what makes us all so special. You too StarTrooper. Welcomed or not, you are welcome.

Attention web site owners: please lend your support and link to us!

And easier for us you to convert. Every country but the U.S. seems to have no problem converting currency. Luke's trying to buy some of my SW toys off me, but we're having problems with the funds. I'd have to pay a fee to convert his Canadian funds to U.S. and the banks/currency exchanges would charge me exorbitant amounts to do so. What my bank wants to charge me would cost more than what he's paying me for the stuff. Ridiculous. Of course, I haven't heard much from him in the last few weeks. So I don't even know if he still wants the stuff or not.

It can be a bit of both. I don't see how we could possibly avoid it really. People have a thread entry that contains their stuff or what they are looking to buy. Others see something listed and contact them. The buyer/seller would then update their entry on the thread or just post anew once they get or sell some of what they listed previously.
