Beautiful Women
Time
The Weather Channel in the US had some female weathercaster on it that turned several of my friends' heads. Weirdest thing in the world to hear my friends in college say their fave channel to watch was the Weather Channel. Never understood it until I saw her. Dunno if she's still there, though.

How about Soledad O'Brien formerly of Today Weekend Edition and currently the co-host of CNN's American Morning?

If that doesn't work, visit Soledad O'Brien's page on CNN.com.

MY COMPUTER HAS A FIRST NAME. IT'S...

Motti...

My My - Oooh la la.

As for the other two, it's amazing to see how the iMac influenced everyone else. All these "flavors" of products got started because of the iMac (studied it in my econ class). They also had flavored George Foreman Grills. Those cracked me up. Yes, for those not in the know, the colored shells on the first two runs of iMacs were referred to as "flavors" because they had names like Blueberry and Tangerine, et al.

Yeah, I was pissed off when LucasArts only put out the Obi Wan Kenobi game on XBox. That was a badass game when it first came out. But there was no way I was buying a VG system just for the one game.

DVDs of 2004?
Time
Yeah, despite being in all the Best Buy sale ads. Bits reports that Suncoast stores won't be carrying them because of the recall and Best Buy even reports the same. Apparently, BB's sale ads are prepped a couple of weeks in advance. So the run of ads was ready before the recall was initiated. Some other smaller stores and chains may still carry it in the first few hours today. But they are likely to pull them later on.

SE Trilogy on DVD coming this Fall
Time
Yeah, I just found it this morning. Right where you said. For the rest of you, here's the text from TDB.com...

This is WAY in the rumor category, but it's worth noting that the DVD Soon Canadian retail website has posted a 6-disc Star Wars Trilogy: Collector's Giftset as coming from Fox on DVD on 10/19. We don't know if it means anything, and we would caution you greatly against putting much faith in it. But about a million readers have been e-mailing us links to this over the last few days, and many inform us that DVD Soon "was one of the first retail sites to post correct Indiana Jones DVD pre-order information." So, you know... take that for what you will.

And you should all go over there anyway and check out the Japanese Alien Quadrilogy SE packaging. Alien head that opens with the DVDs inside it. Pretty badass. Nothing I'd ever want to own, but cool to look at.

battle star Galatica

I was signed up for a while for the SciFi networks weekly e-mails and none of them so far have said anything about furthering the Battlestar Galactica mini into a regular series or adding more episodes or whatnot. Sorry.

I think what was coolest about the show was seeing the evolution of the ships. All the new ships were bad ass until the need arose and they brought out the old Colonial Vipers. Still some of the coolest ships out there. And to see them flying using modern CG effects was just great!

Is this a scam?

Most of these sorts of sites work via pyramid scheme like you stated earlier. Some just get their payouts by now having the ability to send you advertiser (third party) e-mails that are loaded with crap you don't want. So long as they have a certain number of e-mails going out, this satisfies their sponsor requirements. Whether you actually buy something from these e-mails or not. Be careful as they may send out your personal information to other companies as well.

The Mydoom Worm
Time
There really isn't much purpose in creating Mac-based viruses, worms, etc. because virus creators want their creation to get out to the largest number of people in the smallest amount of time. One of the reasons I'm glad Macs haven't become too popular. Then Mac viruses might become a problem. I'm sure there are a few out there. But you don't hear about them too often.
