Astros are gonna be pretty decent this season since they beefed up their pitching roster with Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite. However, their batters are aging. Plus they are in the same division as the Cubs who many broadcasters are making their NL World Series pick. Astros could wind up being the Wild Card.

I think you'll see the Yankees start to crumble this year. They are focusing more on the individual players and not on team players and that won't be good. I think we'll see personality clashes on the level that you do with Kobe and Shaq on the Lakers. It'll just bring the whole team down.

Root for the Cubs and I'll join you in the Red Wings campaign.

It's a mix of a few factors... product placement payments and availability. When you see PCs, it's likely product placement. When you see iMacs and iBooks, it's either product placement or availability. When you see PowerBooks and PowerMac towers, it's availability because they usually have so many of these on set (editing suites and whatnot) that they just grab what's available and put it there. The PowerPC series of Macs are quite popular in the editing industry.

MSD, it's not really off topic. Jimbo challenged us to come up with movies that "combine kick ass action, effects, and a great story better then Attack of the Clones." All we are doing is accepting the challenge.

I would also like to see the demographic composition of members of that forum to see how far off of a truly representative sample of SW fans it is. Many of the fans of the original are not students or people who otherwise have time to haunt forums like you do Jimbo. We have jobs because we're all grown up. You know... "mature". Some of us, like me, have jobs that allow us to be in front of a computer all day to try and represent those who cannot. There are more fans of the OV OT out there than you know, Jimbo. The web is not representative of all populations in the world. Many people have lives and cannot frequent your stupid pro-SE forum.

My wife worshipped them until they released Stunt which she deems their "sellout album". She does like some of the singles off their most recent albums. But she feels their overall listenability (is that a word?) is nearing nil.

I know what you'd catch. It's called badtasteinmoviesism. It can only be cured by repeated viewings of classics like Casablanca, North by Northwest, Vertigo, Psycho, Ben Hur. If none of those work, try the Original Version of the Star Wars Original Trilogy! Works every time. However, finding the cure is becoming increasingly difficult. Hence why prescription drug costs are so high.
