Shimmy, you can start up threads as a forum member, but to create an entirely new section (which is what you need to do in the case of an off topic area), you need to be a mod or webmaster. Even if Karma wanted to do it, he couldn't. Starting up an offtopic thread within a topical section is just bad form and Karma wouldn't do that anyway.

Karma, he was definitely out of line and I don't see any reason why an off topic section cannot be created. Have you tried sending private messages to the rest of the forum membership to get their opinion? I'm sure that if you were to find a large group of people who want it and were willing to e-mail the Nazi... errr... forum mod all at the same time, he might see the light and start up the section.

I say a bunch of you give the mod an e-mail blitzkrieg.

De Niro and Scorsese Discuss 'Taxi Driver' Sequel
Screen legend Robert De Niro has reunited with iconic director Martin Scorsese to work on a sequel to their classic movie Taxi Driver. The Oscar-winning actor, who starred as disturbed Vietnam veteran Travis Bickle in the 1976 film, has confirmed the movie veterans are mulling over script ideas for a follow-up to the gritty original. Apart from his comedy turn in Meet The Parents and its recent sequel Meet The Fockers, De Niro has starred in a series of flop films - and critics are hoping Travis Bickle's resurrection will restore his reputation as one of the greatest dramatic actors of all time. De Niro, 61, says, "I was talking with Martin Scorsese about doing what I guess you'd call a sequel to Taxi Driver, where he is older."

Because I live for six degrees games. I even had my Six Degrees of Star Wars thread running in here for a while. Disappeared well over a year ago. Just never restarted it. Gundark wants me to. Just been too lazy. Should I?

You might still be able to get it in less. Might be tough as I got it in three steps.

It is kinda cool. From what I understand, each time you plug it in, it downloads completely random songs. That's cool, but it would likely tick me off if I don't have my own songs available to me when I need them. Plus I have far more music than this thing could handle.

DeNiro is cooing babies in the back of a massive Winnebago and/or crying in a psychologist's office. I don't think I could ever take DeNiro seriously again. He's ruined his Scorsese-era image. There's no going back.

As opposed to an iBook? That would depend on what you're using it for. If you're doing a ton of graphics or video processing, I'd say yes. If it's just for normal shits and giggles (web surfing, online gaming, iPod control, iTunes, etc.), then run with an iBook. The benefit of the PowerBook is the processing capability. You have to be one who is looking for a computer that can be taxed to the max. If this is the case, then a PB is what you need.

THE PSYCHO REVIEW

According to IMDb...

Red Dawn's US release date was August 10, 1984
The Flamingo Kid's US release date was December 21, 1984
Indiana Jones' US release date was May 23, 1984

However, IMDb's site lists the rating for IJ/Temple to be PG (Click here and scroll down to "Also Known As" and on the last line you'll see the rating "USA: PG")

For the longest time, I was under the impression that Dreamscape was the first PG-13 film (August 15, 1984), but Red Dawn beat it by 5 days apparently.

Here's real trivia for you, John Wayne's "Big Jake" (1971) is rated PG-13 as well. So is Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" (1963).

That is one damn fine computer there, Sessler. I highly recommend it.

Dayv, OS X.3. Just a version I can use to upgrade from OS 9.2. My G3 should run it fine according to the guy at the Apple Store. I might intentionally lose some of the more memory intensive software like Quark. Actually, I'll probably dump all OS 9 software and update to more recent OS X based stuff. Just not install all of it as I don't really need it and only have a 6 GB HD anyway.

Would you recommend me just upgrading to OS X.3 or flushing my HD entirely and rebuilding from the OS X.3 CDs?
