I meant to put Mpg2 for editing and lossless AVI for Final (my mistake), and the reason why my snapshots were grainy and poor was the fact I used the fastest encoding and lowest quality option (also partially due to the fact that the rip isn't DVD Quality).

I have now finished everything (almost)! All I need is a nice opening crawl sequence and a Starfield background I can use (that looks Star Warsy). If anybody can help me with this I would be greatly appreciated.

For Video I encode with MPG2 if I'm Finalizing or MPG1 if I'm still editing (so Virtualdub still works). Then I click on expert and select Highest Quality (or somthing like that) then I make sure that I also set the video as CBR. Now for audio I like to set the Bitrate to 192 and then once I have a final version I run that file through Video Enhancer at highest quality settings (and take a vacation with my Laptop).

I convert all my audio files to wave and my video files to mpg. Not to be off subject what what do you think of "SWHS in 60 seconds" as a

I'm using Womble Mpeg Video Wizard DVD, and it's by far most one of the best video editing softwares around. I'm also thinking of editing the front Title Scene by re constructing it to some degree and when you find the right star field background please tell me.

Cool! Now your doing a Holiday Special Edit. The only thing I need to to to my edit is to make a nice opening crawl. The inly diffrence I'm going to do is that I'm going to have white letters scroll on the screen instead of yellow to match the Special. I also am using the KCCI Version of the Special, and also quite possibly going to change some of the background music with my Dads 1977 2 Record set of the Star Wars OST.

I have finally reached the final steps in this edit. I need 2 things though, one I need to know the best program to make a DVD with Custom Menus and stuff. Number two I need to have a final cover made (but this one will be sorted out fast). This Release will be ready around Christmas (just in time to watch). In the Near Future I will Release a Special Edition Version of my Edit (depending on how popular it is). It will have a commentary by me and my friend Bob, My Workprint copy of the Film, A Remastered Video and Sound Version of my Edit (Possibly), and some other Goodies and Easter Eggs (can't tell). Anyway thanks for reading my update and I can't wait till you see it.

No Problem. For me it's busy too, I wanna release this before Christmas and I'm also getting iPod's that I have to fix for Christmas presents for my whole family. Also that Star Wars Holiday Special DVD ME WANTS! LOL, I will probably preserve it.

I'm using "Mpeg Video Wizard DVD" but I also have "Sony Vegas 7", with that said I will finalize the edit with Vegas.

Ok I have been busy with some school work in the past week and now that I'm free of all that I am gonna get back on my FanEdit. But first I need you people to list all the stuff you want removed (this edit is for the entire forum not just me). I also need to know what program is good for Color Correction. I have put aside the Audio Enhancing for a bit to work on the Video Enhancement. I have increased the Brightness and Saturation to give the video a more warmer feeling and remove bad lighting in the film. I will post pics once the file finishes encoding.
