Star Wars DVD Covers

Are they doing an original crawl on STAR WARS for the new DVD's?

If so...shouldnt they remove "A new hope" ?

EDIT: "See the title crawl to Star Wars before it was known as Episode IV; see the pioneering, if dated, motion control model work on the attack on the Death Star; groove to Lapti Nek or the Ewok Celebration song like you did when you were a kid; and yes, see Han Solo shoot first."

Somebody at lucas' design team should be doing this right about now: http://209.85.12.227/2087/182/emo/34.gif

ORIGINAL STAR WARS TRILOGY OUT 09/2006 BY LUCASFILM
Time
When you guys heard the news...did anybody else feel "sad" or weird....like they knew it was never going to happen and accepted it and now that we can have it....we dont want it?

I almost dont want to get them as a big "FUCK YOU!" to the fat cats over at lucasfilm.

I personally have Cowclops v.2 and the CLASSIC EDITIONS and am totally satisfied with them.

The fact that we had to get several committed fans to give us what we wanted YEARS(in some cases) in advance is realy disturbing when you think about it.

Anyways...I would be interested in what Jay thinks about this news.

DVDs for sale (updated)
Time
You're a bigger man than I am for offering to sell all those.

I am a true packrat when it comes to that sort of stuff. I even still own every video game I have ever had/purchased.

I rarely play NES/Genesis/PSX/Gb/GBC any more...but I just cant "let it go"

As for a lot of DVD's....unless I have something bigger and better actually IN MY HAND...I wouldnt be able to give it up.

OCPDVD3: Special Edition Hype (Released)
Time
Sure, no problem...and no hard feelings either....I really like the cover (as well as some of your other work)...so by any means, don't let this deter you.

I have put my suggested corrections in BOLD :

*******

Remember back in 1997, when you couldn't watch TV without seeing a promotion for the Special Edition of the Star Wars Trilogy? A time when no matter what station you tuned into, a sneak peak of the revamped films was coming up next?

Now, journey back to those wonderful days with STAR WARS: SPECIAL EDITION HYPE; the third installment from Orange Cow Productions. All of your favorite commercials and specials are now available on one DVD!

*******

I changed some of the wording around to give it, in my opinion, clearer grammar that overall works a little bit better, at least here in the states. I know you are from the UK, Ell...so I'll just chalk this all up to "cultural differences"

As you will loss the proper menus and the easter egg (and lose quality) just try to grab a DVD Player that can play PAL - the fact is most people can already play PAL DVD's (just check your remote for a "P/N" button if you got one you MAY be able to play PAL already!!) on there players as long as they are region free.

I personally dont see a problem with converting it. If he could somehow get it to work...then if anything, he would be opening it up to a larger audience...which is basically the nature of the project in the first place.

Now, if he were editing out credits or trying to take a majority of the hype for creating it, I would have a problem...but simply converting it...I am all for it.

This cover is based on the "Executor" boxset.
Don't know if you noticed this, but there's a grayish blob around the SW logo on the back. The black levels around it look off.

Oops, fixed

Not really...I can still see parts of it around the edges.
