George Lucas heavily advertised and merchandized all of the PT movies, but particularly for TPM. Remember all that damn advertising? Taco Bell, KFC, & Pizza Hut were bought into joining in the advertising of TPM and it was just nuts how much crap Lucas shoved down people’s throats.

During that time you couldn’t go anywhere, anytime without being hammered with merchandising on TPM. It seemed like all the TV commercials were designated to that movie during that time and they were all these really annoying, stupid, cringe inducing commercials that made me want to throw something at the screen and shoot george lucas. He had everything imaginable merchandized for this piece of crap. I remember TPM fruit snacks, T-shirts, shoes, flip flops, toys galore, posters, backpacks, pictures of characters from the movie displayed on every Pepsi product, and a jar jar binks popsicle type thingy with his tongue sticking out like GL wants children to give him blow jobs. There were countless other things too. It was sickening.

GL should be ashamed of himself for putting so much money into advertising instead of better things, especially from such crappy movies. He is just a greedy, selfish, arrogant man and he should be embarrassed. Makes you wonder how often he gets out of his ranch (or perhaps that new facility he has in San Diego). Think of the pollution generated from all that crap, physically and mentally.

I’m appalled by the way some people have treated me here. I know that sounds hypocritical, but listen to me. Some people here like “Blackmage” & “Nanner Split” think they’re so above me that they are too good to respond and give me these obnoxious pictures. When someone does that before giving me some rational it just makes me think of them as some people I explained above. Just like you people think I should be smart enough to generalize what is happening around me I expected you people to do the same thing with my negative comments. I’m not saying the difference between Blue States and red states is night and day, but you have to admit when your state has voted majority for a person like George Bush (or republicans in general IMO) it really makes people want to generalize. So if you’re so offended by me insulting your home state, at least say you’re not advocates of the bush administration. There is just as (well, almost) as many things wrong with the economy in my area too. My mom is a teacher for urban public schools and I know that they are not doing very well for a lot of special needs kids. The thing that bothers me is I just wish the blue states would’ve separated with the red wingers in the civil war (just kidding).

Is the reason why you people think I’m being so stupid is because I’m trying to fight against a multi-billion dollar company? Because I know it’s pathetic, but perhaps in a world of justice it could be possible. I just wish you people would help me find some good contradictory quotes from LFL to help me rally up a good defense and to just go along with this instead of having ego maniacs hammer me with criticism to ensure their feeling of superiority. I would like to also here you knowledge on lawsuit cause I don’t know much, but these days, I don’t think it matters. (Depending on how much money you’ve got.) But I have really appreciated the ones who have given me respectful responses.

I know I’m beating a dead horse and a lot of you are sick of talking about stuff like this but I was hoping I could find an audience who would still like to talk about this.

First of all, Tatooine should’ve never been introduced into the prequels until episode 3. The Skywalker family shouldn’t have had any relation with that planet. I thought it was just common sense from the OT that the reason why Luke was raised on Tatooine, hidden from the empire, is because it was a very desolate planet for him. Anakin never had any connections there, it was the farthest planet in the outer rim, so it would be the most ideal place. Doesn’t that make sense why Luke and his step parents went there to raise him to hide from the empire? Instead lucass asks us to play dumb with that plot point and a lot of others. It amazes me that he was so oblivious not to see this and instead goes out of his way to make himself look like an idiot by making it be the most likely place for Anakin/the empire to look for him.

Also I thought the reason why Obi Wan was wearing that huge robe in ANH was to hide his identity from the genocide of the jedi. But brain dead lucas decided to make that a signature feature with all jedi so now it just makes obi wan look like an idiot, stick out like a sore thumb of a jedi, just asking to be spotted.

But lucas couldn’t figure out how to make that all work out even though he had it already layed out, he simply just ignores it. But of course, lucas couldn’t be that subtle, he had to smack all the plot elements over our heads with all the subtlety of a grand piano dropping from the top of the empire state building. I could go on and on all day about this like the prophacy BS and the midiclorians rubbish.

It makes me wonder if at one point, lucas just totally became oblivious to the plot connections he made with the OT to connect with the PT. Since all the good artist who worked on SW left lucas, people who gave him good suggestions and had the balls to object him were gone all he had left were yes men. Lucas’s ego was too big to ever question himself, so instead he just made up a lot of stupid, last minuet BS and proclaims it genius.

I agree with all you who think TPM is the best of the prequels. What I like about it like a lot of you said is the fact that it had the most real sets and it was actually filmed on "film", not recorded on those shitty, artificial, digital cameras. Even though I didn't like the story of TPM, I thought the acting was adequate with most the cast and I liked Lian Neeson's character Qui Gon Gin even though he was unnecessary. I don't have anything against digital cameras. I think they are definitely the way to go in the future. But right now they just don't look good enough or maybe lucas was just cheap and bought the cheapest ones from Sony. But seriously, those cameras should've been 40-50 megapixal cameras able to shoot at least 80 fps and yet I could swear my 7.2 digital camera with capability of shooting 30 fps was almost just as good.

Seriously, the 2004 DVD artwork on the covers makes the movie look like it's for toddlers. What is lucass thinking with all this stupid cover art on recent releases of the movies? The art looks so cheesy and stupid I'm embarrassed to own them. Lucas should be too. He should be ashamed of himself for letting such shitty art on the covers. Of course, shitty movies are inside those too. But putting this shame gay art on the 2006 DVDs is just criminal. He's insulting us and the movies. They deserve better treatment. If I buy these 06' DVDs (which I probably wont) I will just print my own covers I find on the web. The problem is I don't know if it's possible to pull the covers out and put different ones in DVD cases without ruining the plastic that encases them. I tried doing it with tweezers, but unless I worked really hard and stretched the plastic out I think it's impossible to get those damn covers out. Do any of you people have tips on how you're going to do this? I know a lot of you people plan on switching the covers. I know someone posted a website awhile ago on where I can find some good original DVD art covers. Could you guys link some websites on where I can find some original DVD art covers?

This guy is embarassed to release the originals respectively and the holiday special because he finds them to be inferior works yet doesn't realize that the special edition changes and the prequels are even worse works. He is embarassed about the continuaty errors that the OOT and the SE still hold yet doesn't mind showing that C-3P0 lived with the Lars for many years and yet didn't recognize him in the OOT or the SE for that matter. He didn't mind the banal dialog and story telling in the prequels but cares about changing things that was ecompletely unnecessary in the OOT and ruined it like the new dialog between the Emperor and Vader in ESB and many others! I could go on and on about this but you guys get my jist. Please add more thoughts on this.

Can't you people take a joke?

I'm semi kidding, I was hoping you people would go along with this and extentuate from what I said, but a lot of you assholes always have to be so self-conscious and politically correct and put someone down with a ratical but impractical idea. I admit that I don't have much knowledge on how the law system works in this country but I figure a good lawyer would help me with this. What makes a lot of you people turn away from an idea like this is having to pay your lawyers. But I would just find one who is good and intellegent enough to help me with this even if they may not make anything. I don't care if Lucasfilm is a multi-billion dollar company. They have made such an ass of themselves with the prequels, the special editions, and refusal to release the originals that I thin even the courts will laugh at them and give me everything. A hilarous idea I have is to play the SE in the courts and show them scenes like the added Jabba scene in ANH and show them what it looked like proir etc. It would be sooo hilarious seeing George Lucas's face turn bright red with embarasment when we show the court that scene and other scenes like the new dance in Jabba's palace in ROTJ. I'm doing this because of GL complete disrespect for history, his fans, and art. Not for money and the originals. Those are just the tools for revenge. Since it seems money is the only thing that will get Lucasfilm's attention anymore no matter how stupid or poor and stupid the art they produce is.

It's too little too late for Goergie Boy. Hes had long enough. I don't even want him to do the transfers for us. I want him to give the negatives to someone who actually cares and has passion for the films and will treat them with respect. I think the list is pretty valid. You see, what bothers me is the fact that 36.7% of the people on that site gave it a 10!? How could they? They movie was littered with plot holes and poor tie-ins to the OOT. Plus the acting was terrible, the story was contrived and stupid, and the CGI looked terrible and there was tons of pointless characters (General Grevious) and poor pacing.

Most of you a probably framiliar with the IMDb.com website. But for those of you who are not take a look a this: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

ROTS is currently # 235 in the top 250 movies of all time of people's opinions on this website. Isn't that sad? In June it made its way all the way up to 221.

What pisses me off most about this is that George Lucas is going to see this and his little brain is going to think: I'm such a good film maker! I was right! The people still love me! I'm the best!
