Just saw these

Two polls dealt with which order to see all Star Wars movies and they were landslides for different results.

There is another

George lucas has brain farts right and left. One minuet he thinks something the next it's totally different. At that point in time when he was asked that question he just spontaneously thought of the prequels for that answer even though prior to that his idea was for that to be expanted to a trilogy from episodes 7-9 about Luke searching for another jedi hidding somewhere in the galaxy. At that moment lucas probably forgot about his shaky idea for a sequel trilogy and was thinking of the prequels at that point and just made up some BS that he thought was authentic in his mind. Ya know, I think lucas is dilusional. I think he often doesn't realize what he is saying is BS. Sometimes really I think he just automatically thinks he knows everything even though he don't know squat. I know of a person who has a disorder where they don't know when they fall asleep and when they wake up he has no acknowledgement that he just slept and he often gets into arguments when people tell him he was sleeping because he has no memory of it. I think GL has the same problem only when he makes up stories about SW. Either that or he just has too big of an ego to ever question himself.

I would like to know when it was exactly decided that they were not going to make episodes 7-9?

I'm reluctant to do things right now because I'm building a computer (should be working on it right now) but after I have that done and I get DSL working then I will be a lot more productive on the internet. One thing that has held me up with this computer BS is putting thermal paste on my CPU and installing the heatsink. Twice I put too much on because the instructions I read are full of BS so I had to clean it off (which is a real pain). Now that I have read decent instructions hopefully the third time will be a charm. Does anyone else here have had experience with this?

Yes my request was too negative. At first, my idea to justify this idea was to explain to them how GL is cheating us, but I think a more broad request with the reason being respect to great films and justice is likely to get more attention.

Perhaps something more like this:

GEORGE LUCAS IS A LIYING, CHEATING, SON OF A BITCH AND HE DESERVES TO BURN IN HELL!!! MAKE THE SE SEPARATE FROM THE OOT SO WE CAN THROW HIM IN JAIL!!!!

Just kidding, Something more like this:

Please separate your rating system for theatrical and altered versions of movies.

Hello IMDB.com representatives. Many people agree that most special editions or altered versions of movies often are inferior to their original theatrical versions, but particularly George Lucas’s ’97 and ’04 editions of his original Star Wars Trilogy. We all know his current demand on making those the official versions and destroying the recognition of The Original Theatrical Editions indefinitely. As you know, GL is finally releasing The Original Theatrical movies, but only to bait the fans into trying to prove people prefer the special editions.

Many people here at originaltrilogy.com think the Original Theatrical version are superior to GL’s altered cgi mess. Over 75,000 people over there signed a petition asking for the OOT to be released on DVD in a respectable manner. But GL continue to show disrespect for the OOT by releasing in a non-anomorphic transfer from a lousy ’93 laser disk, not from original film negatives. These films deserve more respect because there is a large handful of people who like them better. But the OT aren’t the only ones. Blade Runner, Terminator 2, and others have also been ignored of their original theatrical versions. These need to be recognized separately instead of just a general way on your site.

I would like your website to divide the rating system for special edition movies and their original theatrical versions not only for the Star Wars trilogy but for all other movies as well. This will help new viewers realize other versions of a movie which may help promote sales and it would also be nice to see what the general public thinks of George Lucas’s special editions to prove to him what versions we really prefer.

We all know George Lucas's upcoming release of inferior transfers of the OOT is just a gimmick to try and prove the general public prefers the SE vs. The Originals and to make it possible now for him to prosecute bootleggers. Also he's getting away without paying Marcia Lucas by calling the shoddy transfer of the OOT a bonus disc and getting away with that as the main attraction.

I remember there was a poll on imdb.com in '04 that asked which version of SW you prefer: see here? The OOT won in a landslide! So lets all demand that imdb.com changes their rating system so all movies will have separate rating systems for their original theatrical version and altered versions to prove to GL once and for all what version we really prefer!

You can contact them here.

Here is an example for a comment you can text to them:

The logical way to do this would be to release The Originals and the special editions on DVD at the same time, but George Lucas is doing this totally unfairly. He is re-releasing the ‘04 special editions (which most fans already have) coupled with The Original Theatricals so we are being forced to buy the pathetic ’04 editions again with the inferior transfers of The Original Theatrical movies. This release will of course, not generate big sales and it is just a gimmick to give George Lucas the excuse to say people prefer the special editions and he will also now have the right to prosecute bootleggers of the Theatrical Original Trilogy.

Remember the mass advertising of TPM?
Time
With TPM and Halo 2, everyone knew about them like it was second coming of Chirst.
-That's a good analogy.

I remember those energizer comercials for the '97 SE... or was it Duracell? Anyways I remember that commercial where two people are fighting with lightsabers and one of their sabers burns out and the person takes it apart and checks that batteries and then gets pissed off to find out they died in the middle of the fight and then sees and energizer bunny move by, that was a good commercial.

You guys are totally missing the point. I will just find a lawyer that is willing to work for free and is also compassionate about this issue. If I can't find any... well then, I'm screwed, but there has got to be someone out there who is willing to work for free? Sure I will pay them if I win but it sure as hell won't be 33%. And the hell with the lawyers, if I can't find any for free, I'll take this all on myself!

And I don’t care if it isn’t against the law to be a selfish bastard. I am not going to put up with this bullshit. I’ll also try to find a judge who is an OOT fan. I’ll win easily!

But you guys are missing out on an opportunity to make lots of money, make Lucas lose a lot of his money and bad to the entire world!

I think I figured out why most of you won’t back me up on my LFL lawsuit. It’s because I didn’t make it clear I wanted to work as a team!! That’s what I want to do. I want to work as a team with you guys. So lets conjure up a resume of lucas contradiction quotes and present them to the judge. I’m dying to buy some lakefront property but I can’t afford it and I have been trying to think of ways to make tons of money quickly but all of them have been beaten to a pulp so the only thing left is lawsuits. But I want the big bucks so I want to go for the cream of the crop. Suing big corporations seems like one of the last opportunities that hasn’t been taken to make it big and it’s something I believe in! So look all over for proven contradictory quotes from lucas and lets sue this bastard! I’m looking forward to buying lakefront property! If we're successful with this than I'll take on demanding an Impeachment of george bush.
