The pre-DVD digital master did have it though.

Did anyone cap this back in the day?

I have an upscaled HDTV capture. Only the second half of the movie unfortunately. It's from French TV so the logo is not the original but the colours are definitely not the same as the current master so it's still interesting.

I'm just interested in the "To Be Continued" shot. I'm looking for something better than LD. Does your capture have this shot?

Darth / Frink, could you take a moment and explain what you're talking about with respect to the makeup of Team Negative1?  I see cryptic comments here and there, and I'd love to know what you're talking about.

Thanks!

They're claiming that the original member, negative1, is still a member of the team despite the team frequently claiming otherwise because the team account has written several posts in negative1's idiosyncratic style.

What is your home theater setup for watching Star Wars movies? (or what equipment would like to get if you could afford it/or dream setup?)
Time

@team_negative1: Yep, I upgraded! The black level on the Pioneer Kuro is stunning and much better than my old Sony WEGA CRT HDTV.

I still have the LG Plasma I mentioned earlier, but it's in my basement now. It's 60", so I went down 10" with the Kuro, but it was totally worth it for the amazing color reproduction.

The ZVOX 580 puts out excellent sound. It's a big step up from builtin speakers IMO. It uses a very sturdy wood housing unlike many other soundbars and easily holds the weight of my Kuro.

It can do fake surround (phase shifting, IIRC), but I view the TV from ~45°, so I keep it turned off.

Note: The bass speakers are oriented downward and they're powerful, so this thing needs to be on a very sturdy entertainment console to not produce an audible rattle.

Could someone be awesome and send me a link to download the Despcialised, sooo exited to see these films like originally intended on blu-ray!!

sharing hyperlinks to downloads is a big no-no.

Point of clarification - you can share via PM, just not in the public forum.

True, ty.

Hi CiaranHaden! You're new here, so I suggest you read the forum rules. Asking for— and sharing hyperlinks to downloads is a big no-no.

I also suggest you read post #1 in this thread to see Harmy's pointers on how to obtain Despecialized.

Thanks!

Back to Star Wars please?

Yes, sorry!

Has anyone here ever played the Japanese NAMCO Star Wars game for the Famicom (a.k.a., NES in the US) that was released in 1987?

Don't confuse this with the JVC Star Wars NES game released in 1991.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_%281987_video_game%29

I hear good things about it.

Do you shave the hair off of your neck? If not, then, yes, you have a neckbeard. And it looks bad.

As I said: only approximately once per month or sometimes once every two weeks. I shave my mustache every other day, but this doesn't include my face; that is, the hair coming down from my sideburns which joins up with the hair on my anterior neck.

JEDIT: Which part of the neck are you referring to here? I'm referring to the portion immediately under my chin and jawline which stretches down to my Adam's Apple.

I don't give a shit if it looks bad or not. It gets my wife going, lets me be lazy*, and kinda helps me fit in with the other Software Engineers at my shop.

(* I have extremely coarse hair and very thin/sensitive skin, so shaving even with 64-blade WePromiseWeWon'tCutYou™ razors fucking sucks.)
