Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

Hey Harmy a while back you said you were almost done with a Phantom Menace Despecialized Edition. Are going to upload that soon? Sorry for asking I was just really interested in a good theatrical cut of The Phantom Menace in HD. I've seen Adywan's but his is not perfect.

I know Adywan's reconstruction is missing that one shot, but what else is wrong with it?

The hobbit was already tedious and horribly bloated and just awful to begin with... you want more of this? Also... shouldn't this be in fanedits of other films? Sorry if not.  Also not downing on you or your work or anything.

The Hobbit EE isn't a fan-edit. It's due to (officially) come out in time for Christmas 2013.

Personally, I liked it much more than any of the three LotR films, so I can't wait for the EE to come out.

hairy_hen said:Speaking of the '93 versions, there is no real reason to avoid them, because unlike the first movie there aren't any sound effects additions.  ESB is missing the snowspeeder crash sound for some reason...

In that case, it would be good to have 2.0 PCM of the '93 mix with the sound of the snowspeeder crash restored.

I'll second this request. That would be great!

I could not find 7FN's the "Story Of" LP preservations on MySpleen…would you (or anyone else) possibly be willing to up it to MySpleen just long enough for it to catch on?

It was on MySpleen, but 7FN had the listing removed by one of the mods after he got upset by the lack of comments and the high number of leechers. I imagine he'd do the same if I were to make another torrent and upload it there.

Then it is indeed a god among budget TV's.  Nice taste by the way on choice of Nintendo, I recently got an A/V Famicom Toploader, as well.  (My Yobo 72pin to 60pin adapter isn't the greatest, but what can you do?)

Thanks!

The A/V Famicom Toploader is definitely the way-to-go (if you don't mind using an adapter for NoA NES titles). The blinking-red-light-of-death is not something I want to deal with anymore and the RF-only output of the NoA NES Toploader is a no-go as well.

My 72->60 pin adapter is really crazy-looking. It looks like some guy hacked it together in his garage, but it works like a dream.

In fact, it looks exactly like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271300605863

Actually, we may as well try to push past the safe boundaries with the DeEd, it might make people bother to try setting up their TV's better.

Sounds good! Would you mind telling me how to turn off my Sony WEGA KV-30HS420's overscan? ;-)

*Without screwing-up the geometry, that is.

Easy!  Though it will involve buying a modern TV...

There are bound to be a few casualties on the path to saving the world from crappy TV settings...

Sounds good! Can you help me out? Here are my requirements:

1. <=$100 used (this is how much I paid for my KV-30HS420)

2. >=700 lines of motion resolution on interlaced sources

3. Deep color (10 and 12-bit) support on HDMI with no banding issues

4. An excellent 3D comb filter

I feel like in 2013 there really ought to be a better way to clean up after having a bowel movement. I mean, we wash our hands with soap and water to remove invisible germs, we have hand sanitizer bottles waiting in nearly every doorway, but we can't be bothered to come up with better methods for cleaning fresh poop off of our bodies beyond wiping at ourselves blindly with a dry square (or wad of squares).

I use these: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008EONH04

I've been using them for as long as I can remember. My parents do as well.

Instructions: Use just like toilet paper. Continue to use new ones until they come back completely clean. Flush.

But I feel like this is a waste of money (as well as world's resources). Not to mention it is way worse than water/bidet.

How is it way worse than a bidet? The product is quite... moist.

By the time I'm done, the final wipe looks the same as it did before it went on its little journey.

Plus, I do back-to-front and front-to-back.

I'm absurdly meticulous with ass cleanliness. My crack shines when I'm done.

You've got the wet-ass feeling of bidet while keeping the close-hand-proximity-involvement of regular wipes. The worst of both worlds.

Not to mention the extra cost.

As for your shiny crack, there's a part of me that questions if that's even healthy?

It's probably unhealthy if you're as meticulous as I am.

Your analysis makes sense, however.

I'm still sticking with 'em. ;-)

I much prefer the MGM extended DVD cut from Europe. It is awesome... Except for two changes.

1. It doesn't have the line, "Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun."

2. The S-mart ending is so much funnier.

No questions that everything else about the longer cut is better. It's not fluff or filler.

Sounds like a good idea for an edit.

Agreed!
