you can take an image or video that has been applied on it a normal map filter and do realistic lightsaber interactive lighting in spots that are difficult to use other modes.

Especially when luke's face is shadowed dark several times or Vader's suit.

Can it be done?

Imagine that great blue arrow plunging into the exposed ribs of and girders.

We could see it falling down and down through the superstructure until it reached a surface to collide with with bits sheering off it on the way down creating there own explosions.

It would do a lot more damage too as the final explosion would be nearer to the core (possibly enough to take out a whole battlestation if you went with the 2 Death Star scenerio).

Now i had an idea of a more dramatic and dynamic destruction of executor.

Forgive the mess, was done quick

Id like to have executor scratching the surface (ala Star trek nemesis) before explode to pieces, leaving a cool scar to DS's surface.

This is where ROTJ fails to capture the " look at the size of that thing"

in the close ups of executor the DS behind should be unfocused and fill ALL the space.

Plus in the middle of the battle like every time happens in ROTJ the DS is a stencil that stays to the background. How about some shots that the battle is from the POV of some parts of DS (more photographic approach and better cinematography).

I just thought that when the shuttle goes down to the endor we have a shot that vader looks outside. It could be good looking if he sees the sunrise and leaves full of thoughts.

1.Instead of the executor and all the fleet suddenly arrives from nowhere having them jumping out from hyperspace.

2. The rebel fleet is near sullust. Can we see the system/planet on the ship concentration?

3. The death star have a more impressive/extented explosion aka what Darth Venal posted as Alderaan's destruction?

I d love to replace the first image you got there to a more dramatic one. i love that sometimes we have some good closeups in the DS but its rare.

An establishing-extended shot can be the viewer see some more of the construction and that thing is full of life not just a model.

A fun thought also is id like to put that ring ( half this time) to the wip section and play more clever instead putting boring ships all around ( im not saying not put at all)
