THe things that coming in my mind are the panel/monitor sounds and beeps that you can change with more modern ones. (see falcon target sensors beeps).

Yeah many good music cues can be used for replacing the PT music

I can think for miklos rotza and some of john barry. Even the animation Heavy metal had awesome music from Elmer Bernstein are easily can replace the boring cues :)

not always. I believe the most common themes tha came from williams are because the are recognisable. and stayed to the years of cinema due the nature of easy hearing and repetion of the same theme in different tones throuougt the movies.

Still to my eyes looks that he is getting into slow motion at the end and even it was done smart still the transition from normal speed to slow speed needs work IMO.

Mr J. can give awesome ideas and clips for what you might need for your edit :)

And always with less motion blur (I still dont know how he is doing that :)

Ah! I wasnt mentioning the switch. i meant the door that would propably close slowly and luke had to force push her to smash the rancor.

I like that. Maybe add more violence as the head of rancor is cut off from the door and thrown in the camera with lots of dust and green blood for the new 3d release (j/k)

I like the idea tho. Still it might ruin the experience later that Luke levitates 3po and shows greater skills.

PS: Now noticed the new gun position!!! I LOVE IT :D

Even the gun and the location of this room makes no sense the most reasonable solution is to add a better tie in with ESB patterns.

Tho its not the bridge the triangle windows are spread all over the star destroyers even if they are not windows.

One other solution is remove the gun and make the pod coming from down to top so it fixes the perspective issue that creates.

Finaly Bingo's idea about a monitor is an option.

Not anyone is ready to take the hard path of fixing each shot with care and start rotoscoping like mad. Its up to Harmy to establish if he wants to gets deeper or he is happy with that(as most of the people i guess)

Your versions contain many different sources with different qualities. I saw that the "fixes" you did many times create very contrasty results (fixing the sabers or other issues that need level adjustments).

That quality and image ups and downs cant offer a nice viewing pleasure within result the movie be a rough cut and paste job.

Do you consider to take this project to a next level of care and be more precise about fixing(restore) the errors and finally the image has some better continuity? :)

The limitations of the time now is a nice excuse of aerie and confusion of an illusion.

Not that i dont see your point which is true and i agree with it :),

but sometimes defending some techniques from back then that might was an accident or limitation, can sound defensive just of the sake of originality..

I suspect A-man means to fix all the errors of the scene by keeping all the original intentions of the filmmakers.

Like harmy said about the 3 frames but the sabers are animated for every frame, maybe there is the problem that needs to fixed without ruin any originality or artistic decisions at the end. Since ady already re rotoscope all the sabers in ESB why not take the extra bit of the time to make the good-->better.
