The shot when mace and palps is fighting. The exterior city has that poluted green tint. These shots ;)

We see the blue tint again when anakin is arriving from the temple to its speeder. I assume that the different skyline cause different colors

Going by what Needa says in ESB cloaking devices do exist in the Star Wars universe but can't be fitted on small ships maybe the other Death Star is invisible until it needs to open fire.

Well thats the tricky part isnt it? Going into a usual PT or sci fi approach the common would be to see a station de-cloaking with a pretty visual effect.

But the point is in ESB we never see actually that device works...visually.

I think it will brake the entire idea of showing something so big with such an approach.

Going alternatively you can place a mini superlaser to executor ala Eclipse SSD.

As for the construction of the death star i think is the key point show time pacing when you can establish how % is done as the shots are changing.

in other words you cant have the same death star at any of the ROTJ's shots :)

Suggestion:

Night have some stylized blue as illumination. Compare it with a so bright city with already hazy atmosphere the city lights should create a dead/rotten green/orange/blue in the sky/environment. Just like when it is raining at night in a big city. :)

Also if you remove the blue tint you will also remove the green tint in the senate shots previously?

Since we have costumed members doing extra scenes how about the known continuity error with leia's hand embraces han in the infamous kissing scene?

Is anything can be done as an arm in front of a greenscreen hugging someone?

Compare it with the painting you can understand that 2 dots in the horizon is not a good establishing shot of the two massive stations. You can tell that the SD is bigger in that point.

In fact the painting is pure geometrical genius from the rule of thirds and dynamics.

ANH is a great example of good cinematography.

Sure thing. Still ady stated that especially the rebel hangar will be a model and not a matte. I hope this will solve most of the flatness

Since you mention that 005 does anyone else thinks that when we cut from yoda to xwing planet flyby the cut is a bit hard?

At least visually we could see Xwing leaves the atmosphere and not already be on the half way. and not the way that it sounds.(note the scene and you will see that the ship is like popping up. Stylistically and only that could be a matter)

That will smooth the cut keeping the same time/speed
