I like the idea that the rebels have contrast brightness with the imperials. We see dark ways in the DS rooms and bright full of light rebel capital ships.
Still the idea of the rebels be like scrap was in ANH. Now I believe is more well equiped and more dangerous than we realize.
Instead od trying to make less fancy the mon calamari bridge i suggest to open it a bit.
The bridge of the ship is placed high and from its round shape can handle an open mockup (ROTS style)
Maybe... im just throwing ideas
