Nice Clip there Ady!
-Angel
Good but the cinematography is like videogame.
Nice to see the storyboards come to life!
Good job
-Angel
-Edited-
My optics need cleaning
Note the last image! the turret points the rebels.
An obvious reversed/WTF shot.
The sun is always behind the rebels.... not to mention that it changes postion al the time..
-Angel
Still,Ady, you have to show the AT-ATs that now in focus interest less contrasty ;)
I will suggest lens blur just add a slight atmosphere.
You are the man, ady you know best ;)

Credit to Vaderios for the section of his matte i used for this shot
Oh! that was good.
Still can i add something?
The Ground need more definition
For some reason the matte looks too close, like a painting.
Id love the framing to be more interesting.
Also the front AT-AT is like a copy paste.
The back AT-AT needs less contrast because its far.
The skies are Beautiful and pop up!
I will make a quickly mockup to show what i mean.
Edit:
(Left Ady's, Center Mine, Right 2004 Dvd) to avoid Imperial Entanglements
The interest AT-AT has more "air" in front of it and the scene is not too busy with all AT's together. Plus nothing is centered.
What do you think?
-Angel
PS: Thanks using my matte :D My parent will be proud!
At least it explains the phrase from ROTS : "Remember what you told me, about your mother and the sand people?"
Good job
-Angel
Thats again look like an ANH remake :\

Monroville said:I think one of my biggest problems when it came to the LOOK of the Prequels was just how brightly lit everything was. I can understand everything isn't as "beat up" as the OT tech, but the plethora of shiny stuff gave away the CGI-ness of everything.
Same thing with all of the city shots: no faded bluish buildings (atmosphere haze or smog), no morning or dusk shots - everything was 12:00 noon broad daylight (Naboo) or nighttime (Coruscant).
Heh:
At least in the ROTJ celebrations i d like to see some of them to be morning like a new dawn :)

TheoOdo said:On a completely unrelated note, can I suggest that the strange bubble-view screen of theirs be changed into the kind of screen used by Vader in ESB? It'd be a nicer tie between both series and be less gratuitous than the Windows Movie Maker style bubble-vision device.
Yes the bubble screen must go out.
Also i love the new dialogue. It add the old philoshophy and mystycal aura of Star wars ;)

Yes YES Bring them on!!!

Ripplin said:You've just made one or two people very happy, Ady. Haha. ;)
P.S. I like how you change your signature pic every few days, vaderios. They're always interesting.
More than two people :P
P.S. lol thanks

adywan said:As you can see two of the things you mention have already been fixed since the clip was posted. I'm not too bothered about the stardestroyer lasers having a weaker core because it helps distinguish them from the TIE ones.
Awesome news I dint notice that you fix them :)

LOL, whats that supposed to mean? ;-)
Close encounters of the third kind^
Yay! with a millennium falcon on top of it

I loved the color correction. In fact when i saw the morning orange in the coruscant skys i wondered, is that AOTC?
It added too much to scene!
Very good the toning the colors down ;) And that i noticed only when i saw the differences to the wipes.
color correcting scene inspired form vadeous mock ups
Its vaderios :P
Let us now for more!

ChainsawAsh said:IIRC, he's re-rotoscoping every lightsaber and laser blast in all the movies. At least the OT. Am I right, or was I misinformed on this fact?
That is correct.
-Angel
I wanted to say that after I watch the Ion cannon clip again, i noticed that the lasers coming from the stardestroyer is a bit washed up compare with the TIE fighters one. I think they need a gentle touch of Ady's magic to have a more clear cores.
Also, i know that ady consider to fix the to the last detail and the clip was a wip still im Vader's advocade.
Mask error
The x-wing has no glow when flyby
And when the star destroyer approach hoth there is a mysterious mask/light in the ship that looks weird. A pic will not show the problem only motion can popup it.

Thats the spirit baby ;) hahaha

Oh thank god they work with flashget/flashgot.
If it was one by one it would be pain in the ass.
-Angel
Yeah awesome thanks.
post and some snapshots of what changes can be done.

Octorox said: It would certainly make it easier for editors trying to isolate elements or adding their own backgrounds. I think the Hellboy II Blu-Ray already has this sort of a feature.
Really? that sounds very interesting. Is that for sure?
-Angel
Why isnt legal? The edit is not profit. Like a fanfilm called Star wars: Dark resurrection, which is also non profit, the director sold some of the costumes via ebay.
So go for it ;)
-Angel
Thats for Bingo.
I took the concept from AOTC that shows the battlefield so why not have the same here..
-Angel
double post
If you look closely just before the death star fires for the first time in ROTJ the green ambient green reflected to the dish is already there before the beams come out.
