I just quit smoking!
Time

Hey man, congrats on a healthy decision! Never been much of a smoker myself (I'll enjoy a cigar every now and then when there's something worth celebrating, but personally never really saw the appeal of cigarettes...), but I really wish you well with this. Years from now, your lungs will thank you.

And if you have trouble with the withdrawals, you could always find yourself a Wally-type for further disincentive:

Sequel Statistics Chart ~ OR ~ Sequels Suck and We Have the InfoGraphic to Prove it ~ OR ~ Anchorhead was right! Tell your sister... Anchorhead was RIIIIIGGHT! ~ OR ~ Sequals (thx Boost!)

Hey, that reminds me of when the ancient Egyptians crash-landed on Earth!

Matthew Brock said:

So you can't make fun of somebody for what they believe in.

Lisa Miller said:

Right.

Beth said:

What if it's something crazy, like the ancient Egyptians were actually Martians who came to Earth looking for water?

Joe Garelli said:

And what exactly is crazy about that?

Bill McNeal said:

Let's see, I'm a Martian, I need water, I'm gonna travel who knows how many thousands of miles...

Lisa Miller interjected:

34.6 million.

Bill McNeal continued:

34.6 million miles to Earth and then land in the middle of a huge desert, makes sense to me.

Joe Garelli said:

It wasn't always a desert. Think about it.

Moar NewsRadio plz.

You got it, pal!

Matthew Brock said:

Boom! Right in the head, and so he was out, and Agent Zero came down and he uncuffed himself, and, "Dzjoo dzjoo dzjoo dzjoo!" Just, for no reason, he's just, like, shooting lasers around...and, and, and...just going crazy really, uh, kinda like Pacino in Scarface: "Dzoo, dzoo, boom! GARRRRRGGGGHHH!!" We should go see it next weekend, maybe! Well anyways, if, um, 'cause I'd see it twice if you don't mind...well, if you get this message, Bill, call me back. Umm...bye.

Dave Nelson said:

As I predicted, we have something of a mutiny on our hands.

Mr. James said:

Oh yeah! You're completely under siege. Just like that guy in that... that movie... What's it called?

Dave Nelson said:

Under Siege?

Mr. James said:

Nope.

Dave Nelson said:

Under Siege 2?

Mr. James said:

Nope.

Dave Nelson said:

Under Siege 3?

Mr. James said:

That's the one!

Lisa Miller said:

Y'know, I don't think they made Under Siege 3.

Mr. James said:

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Question About The History of Originaltrilogy.com?
Time

Oh, you guys'll love this. I was going through the old petition and discovered that our mutual friend JediTray signed it. His signature is number 4641. His comment is as follows:

Sign my petition as well! http://www.petitiononline.com/jeditray/

So, I checked out the link, and here's the message I got:

deactivated due to inactivity

In short, JediTray's petition has been Cancelled. Granted, this particular cancellation was cancellation by default, but still...I found it a little humorous...

EDIT: Sorry, Harmy, I didn't see your post. The petition can be found here: http://www.petitiononline.com/OTondvd/petition.html

Question About The History of Originaltrilogy.com?
Time

I first became aware of this site back in '03, not too long after it began. I signed the petition enthusiastically, and started haranguing my friends, family members, and anyone else that would listen, to go to originaltrilogy.com and do likewise. Anyone remember the old link banner images that had a picture of Han and, IIRC, said something about Han shooting first? I used a modified version of that as my avatar on the other online forums I was a part of at the time. For some reason or another (probably time constraints), I never got very active in the OT.com forum back then. I lurked quite a bit and actually had an account, but only posted a couple times. I think my old account must have been pruned at some point due to inactivity.

Anyway, after a loooong period of absence (which no one would've noticed, given my serial-lurker-status in the first place), I returned in the wake of Ady's completed ANH:R. At that point I tried to revive my old account, but due to its apparent pruning, started a new account instead.

I realize that none of this is actually relevant or interesting, but since everyone else is sharing their experiences with this site's history, I figured I'd do the same. Also, I too affirm that Frink's postcount is truly a thing to behold.
