I cannot wait for a conservative Republican in the USA to claim that Borders closed down because of Obama's supposed Socialism.

More likely Amazon has eaten up the market share of the other retailers brick and mortar stores in online sales.

Or it could be the so called great recession.

Also borders always had high prices.

Okay, I'll take the bait.

<snipped for length> (cf. Frink's Guide #18)

Unless socialism steps in and decides that the tax payers should all pay to keep it around.

Very well said, Xhonzi. Since you've essentially said all that needs to be said, I'll just add my "+1" to it...

Many of us that are older were 16 at one time. Youth is nothing to be ashamed of.

Indeed. Furthermore, as JediTray has so recently demonstrated to us, age doesn't necessarily translate into maturity.

I found a quote earlier today where Ady said that BadAssJanbusterback2 said that he would donate even more to him if Ady got him reinstated on the boards.

*sigh*

Freakin' hilarious. Didn't he make Ady the exact same offer the last time he was banned?

Actually, for that matter, didn't he say just four days ago that he was "ok with being banned at this point," and that he had "no interest in coming back"?

Words fail me.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

And unlike Blade Runner and Alien, which are products of the company's that distributed them, Star Wars is owned by Lucas and not FOX. Therefore, Lucas does have the right to decide which editions are deemed the default editions.

No one's suggesting that George's suppression of the original Star Wars trilogy is illegal; only that it's wrong.

George Lucas on Special effects and filmaking during making of ROTJ
Time

Lucas having the capability to show a bigger, grander universe did just that

Grander? Maybe. Bigger? Definitely not. After ESB, each successive installment of the Star Wars series gradually shrunk the universe. The same damned planet (that's supposed to be in the middle of nowhere) shows up in 5 out of the 6 movies. With the PT, interpersonal relations get so tangled up between all of the main characters that it's hard to believe this saga takes place in an arena any larger than a city block, let alone a vast, immeasurable galaxy. Vader made 3p0 and lived next door to Greedo! Obi-wan knew Boba Fett! Chewie and Yoda were best buds! This, to you, is a bigger universe?

there are many untouched original versions now with blu ray quality

Now that's just objectively untrue. When it comes to issues like artistic merit and personal taste, you're free to throw around the "that's just your opinion!!!111one1!1" tautology, but right now you're declaring something that is factually incorrect. There are no untouched original versions in even passable DVD quality, let alone blu-ray. Adywan and Harmy have done masterful jobs with their ESB and ROTJ reconstructions, but even as good as they are, they will only ever be reconstructions. D_J's GOUT V. 3 looks incredibly promising, but the source material he's using is so limited that even this set will never be quite what a decent DVD release of the theatrical Star Wars trilogy should have been. Get your facts straight next time.
