Timothy Zahn had some interesting things to say about the decor of Talon Karrde’s base in the Thrawn trilogy:

He sounds very Scottish. Ewan McGregor is also a Scot, but he plays Obi-Wan with an English accent to match Alec Guinness. The in-game dialogue sounds like the actor was also trying to do this and not succeeding.

I don’t restrict myself to a single canon. If multiple canons were good enough for JS Bach, they’re good enough for me.
He’d probably been planning to do so since 1988. That was when he gave a speech to Congress about the evils of digitally altering classic films. And eventually he created the SE… to prove himself right.
That kind of answer is why I don’t post on these forums much.
^ Lucas et al. were already saying when Episode I came out that we’d learn by the end of the PT why Qui-Gon’s body didn’t disappear. So having that as a “mystery” for future episodes was already on the cards in 1999 at least.
Of course, he also said after Episode II that we’d learn about the mystery of Sifo-Dyas in the next film. And then we… didn’t.
Anakin has probably racked up enough assholery to win awards even after he’s dead.
The mention of Qui-Gon in Episode III is basically a big giant neon sign saying “this scene was deleted.”
Don’t be silly. People don’t bleed in modern movies. They may get decapitated or be crushed into a puddle of goo, but they don’t bleed.
The one thing I don’t like about the Thrawn trilogy is how Zahn ascribes the Empire’s battle successes to some sort of psychic hold the Emperor has over the entire Imperial navy. Zahn himself noted this was based on Lord of the Rings, but I don’t think you need this sort of plot device to explain Imperial competence.

Exactly. I can imagine telepathic communication that transcends languages and also the living/dead divide, but that doesn’t mean I can actually do it.
I’ve also heard about that, but every copy of the ROTJ novelization I’ve seen has that passage still in it.
Anakin does notice Qui-Gon’s lightsaber though, which is apparently an unusual thing for a non-Jedi to do. Maybe even in their heyday, Jedi preferred to move unseen among ordinary people when out and about in the wider galaxy.
