Have you a word to describe what means "matte" painting? There's no translation in french for it.
I'm using a damn (new) PC I don't know the detail of, and I'm using an evaluation version of Winrar (as before but since I reinstalled it there it's not the same deal as before). Sorry for the lack of precisions, but I'm not the specialist of those things here. I'm only the specialist in calibrating and using the softwares I need for myself. lol.

The things that are wrong on the AE:
4 tracks have wrong pitch & speed
"Carbon Freeze" and "Vader's Trap" as I presented these as isolated cues are wrongly edited and cut (as the alt bit of Carbon Freeze wich should replace and not follow its original counterpart, so it needed an alt cue as a bonus track).
A few mixes were messed up on the AE because of me ("Deal With The Dark Lord" notably)
The new complete version of "Jedi Master Revealed" as you can listen on the IE DVD uses the film mix from the Anthology (layered with the LP) and not the bad 1997 remix I previously used = much more clear, better synchro and accurate stereo image.
"Mynock Cave" is now presented in its complete form (in the set and not as a bonus track as previously) with high dynamic range, notably thanks to a Radio drama bit. To notice this track on the SE is reputed having the good mix but I really think there are three recordings in it: 1) the unused begining fanfare, 2) the 1 unused thrilling part, 3) the used part that is featured with missing bit on the RSO album... And this last part really sucks to my hears on the SE, mostly from a dynamic range point of view. The IE DVD features this brand new complete track wich really rocks now next to the previous SE track the AE features.
For what is about the EQ's, I didn't touch that much. I explained how I worked previously, with a 16Khz equalizer. But the session mixes transfers from 1993 have frequencies that go higher: 20khz, wich feature this noisy shiny highs you can witness between others in "Swamps Of Dagobah" (aka "Crash Landing"), A "Familiar Place", "Carbon Freeze", "Vader's Trap"and a few others. The only track I finally left unmanaged from this point of view is "Losing a Hand" just before "Hyperspace", cause it would have killed the sound.
I played EQ's on a couple of tracks otherwise, and I notably calmed down "The Rebel Escape" for its far bass rumble, and the far spiky highs. The "Main Title" missed some basses, as was "The Asteroid Field" (I only re-EQed the one from set 2).
A last thing concern the balances as explained on post 2, "City In the Clouds"... As explained on post 2 again... Well, all that I'm tiping now is explained on post 2.
I invite you to compare "Carbon Freeze" from the sample section (post 6) with the one from the AE: focus on the highs and on the plenitude of the sound, and you should get the point. You can also compare the balance on Departure and Hyperspace: plenitude improved again.
Final point: the presentation. Here's what I added in the liner notes recently (tell me if I make some fault - you don't imagine how this is hard to tip for a non English. I still have to read again though):
The definitive presentation of the Imperial Audiophile Edition has benefited of the knowledge brought by the entire score reconstruction synchronized to the 1980 film (the Imperial Edition DVD), showing how many groups of cues were intented to form suites. Another contribution, invaluable, cleared the last shadows remaining thanks to J. Williams's piano sketches manuscript, giving notably the solution about the timing and editing of the "Crabon Freeze" cue and its alternate insert feature.
A "perfect" presentation of the Empire music could only be possible through alternate sets in order to consider judicious choices for listening experiences: the complete cue list archive, the original score, the original album reconstructed and completed gathering the highest dynamic range tracks, and the motion picture itself featuring the original score edited as it was originally intented to fit the film...

But add all these things together and it should talk enough (Also I insist: check post 2 and see what it s about on the tracklist... Check the sample if your computer is good enough to allow the comparison).
EDIT: Also, the new set is entirely based on the previous AE CD3 settings (wich had Alt EQ's on a majority of the tracks that didn't fit with the far highs of the session mixes...).
About MegaUpload: I don't think I'm gonna use it again.
PS: the IE DVD as you probably understand now should figure in the set, and the covers for Set 3 will be made for the Album reconstruced + the DVD.
For the differences between each set I hope all is clear now... (?) :)

Besides, I haven't seen the famous SW expos years ago but wasn't there a lot of mattes ? Possible some have been able to take a few shots ? Just ideas I share.
