Okay, so that new Bioshock 2 DLC is EXACTLY what DLC should be!

So often DLC seems like stuff that should be included with the game in the first place. Like the previous BS2 DLC, the stupid Protector Trials. Or the Mercenaries mode on Resident Evil 5. So much DLC is just simple crap to add reply value, which is something traditional tacked onto the game at release.

Bioshock 2's Minerva's Den DLC feels like a good old fashioned expansion pack, and totally worth paying for. Adds several hours of game play, and honestly, the storyline was awesome. I really enjoyed it. The actual game's story line kind of bored me, but the story in this DLC really held my attention.

R-Type was really hard. I must have been level 5, no more.

But worst:

Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers

The "strength" of the covers you're using are the characters. That's a strong point for your Mc Quarrie backcover of SW 77. So for Empire, well done for the colors, but the somehow pristine painting of Mc quarries doesn't worth a penny next to the sandmen you used before. But well, maybe it's the only option, I don't remember all  the paintings. The space slug one would have been great (same dynamic - direction), but would ask to altere the colours...

PS: the edges are great.

I have Revenge of Shinobi on Genesis. Pretty fun, if only I were good at it... one I do love though is Ninja Gaiden. Alas, once again, I suck and am stuck at stage 3.

Ahhh ! Ninja Gaiden... When I was kicked out that coffee bar because the barmaid thought I was too young to play this !

... How can you get stuck in that game ?

Haha ! Thanks Chainsaw. Very much appreciated. Not only you may give someone else the will to see it, but what people don't realize is that we have all our own perception of the stuff, and what you say may come and enrich ours ("authors"), and show us this more valuable again ! :)

Exceptionnaly I'm leaving my signs in the off topic section ;)

Actually I was originally thinking of the whole soundtrack restoration, not the IE DVD wich is more to me like a documentary. ;)

Hell, I don't know what to call it, but it's bloody fantastic, and is just one more example of how productive this community has been of late.

Thanks. But why the hell don't you feedback guys ? That's THE thing I don't get in the preservations forum. I'd call that: "live and let die". Of course a good philosophy in some cases, but not here.

So don't you dare tell me that "nobody comes here at all anymore," or "the Preservation community has all but been swallowed up by fan edits."  That's a bunch of bullshit.  In fact, I'd go so far as to say I've been seeing more preservations than fan edits here lately.

Mmmhh. After thought it seems indeed to have taken a new breath since half a year. Besides, you have forgotten to mention one great preservation project... Hahem...

Hem...

Let go.

Which brings up one of my fave topics game music.

Who has some fave game soundtracks whether only in game or on CD?

The 1st one that come in my mind is "Double Dragon".

... The other one is not fair: it's Robocop. But with the arcade SFX's, it rocked.

Yeah, Strider was great (Edit: but had somehow the same feeling that Frink - Just a game that was beautiful, and just that).

I don't know much about these composers.
