Its the history of the ILM model shop by Lorne Peterson, contains many unseen photos from his own collection of the making of SW (ILM, Death Valley, Tikal). Its an amazing 2 x 15 minute slideshows with commentary. About 50% 1976.
So, not a movie or documentary, just photos.

If you live in the UK, pm me your addy for a copy if you'll PIF (just 5 copies).

I think I'll take mm's suggestion of alt.binaries.dvd.midnightmovies, for the AA's and the DotD's, from now on.

So they'll be crossposted to alt.binaries.dvd & alt.binaries.dvd.midnightmovies.

When in doubt, check my newsgroup posting list. But the nzb will always go into a.b.nzb, so that makes it easy, for the nzb-enabled.

Thanx for your quick reply, where can i check your newsgroup posting list?

Info Wanted: Did anyone do a preservation of the 'Behind the Magic' DVD?

It is possible to extract the images/video/text etc. directly from the discs, which should allow for the best possible transfer to DVD as an archival project. We are discussing it in the technical forum here.
You can get much better results this way than the capture via TV out methods employed in the past. This could potentially allow any owners of the original BTM discs to create a DVD version they could watch on their TVs.

I'm also experimenting with these discs, ripping works great but i cannot find a tool which easily make's AVI/MPG from a serie of PNG's.

Does anyone have some suggestions?

PS : there a tons of nice image's to rip from this set!!!
