Being a bit naive about that sort of thing, it took me a while to realise what ... was supposed to mean.

An astute redditor noticed something about Carrie's nail in ROTJ.
Holy shit that's a good find! Is that real?
^ Yup. I confirmed it to be so on my UOT discs.
Usually it's the pinkie nail, though, right?
“Grow up. These are my Disney's movies, not yours.”
Usually, but I think the reason is that the pinky is used less in everyday life so the longer nail doesn't interfere with things as much and is less conspicuous. But the index would probably be easier for the um, intended usage. And also for women, some women have every nail that long, so it's not a big deal.
I guess this does explain Carrie's slightly worn-out appearance in the film in very direct ways.

I love party games so to mark Sci-Fi's birthday lets play "How Many Science Fiction Shows Are They Showing On Sigh-Figh tonight?
You'd think they would celebrate it in some way. (Without drawing attention to the fact they are drowning in reality shows now.) Although I doubt anyone who founded the channel is still on board.
That very first FTL Newsfeed was eerily prophetic about Star Wars in a way.
Where were you in '77?

Maybe she used the index nail to throw off suspicions. But it's quite clear the other nails are cut.
:(
I imagine this will find its way back to George and be added to the list of revisions for the next iteration of the original vision of Star Wars.

She admitted to using during Empire, but I thought she was clean by the time Jedi was in production.

No, she went back to rehab after the movie was filmed as I understand it.
She missed all the snow on Hoth.

I've noticed this years ago but until now I didn't know it had anything to do with drugs... Sad.
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
Why are you all in such a grave mood about this. I for one think this find to be really hilarious. I mean, she's alive and well today, isn't she? And everybody knows she was doing coke - like every other celebrity in the 70s and 80s. So what's the big sad deal about it?
Not only that, but if it weren't for that nail, the Holiday Special would have been much less entertaining.

Some of us are being facetious.

One thing you can say for it, the production value keeps going up every year. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
That looks pretty cool. I never really got into it but I'll try again. Obi-Wan flying around with a jetpack is pretty much all I wanted out of new Star Wars anyway.
