I chuckled, but it does seem lately like new people are signing up just to pimp their work.

I've noticed this trend too. Carried out a bit of cleanup and merged all the "look at this video" posts into this thread.

A demo reel where Burtt shows an early version of Boba Fett's costume with all his gadgets with Duwayne Dunham behind the mask:

Had actually never seen this clip before, only photos of it since the eighties, but I seldom visit the official site. Was this included on the Blu-ray extras?

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

In which a bunch of voice actors do a very weird version of the Star Wars radio drama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBzRmWeC6Ds

Frink, surely this is of significant interest to you. Bender makes an appearance, among others.

Was going to post this. Too damn funny.

I watched this last night. It is perhaps some of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Awesome 1971, one hour long interview with George Lucas conducted just after THX  flopped in cinemas: http://binarybonsai.com/blog/george-lucas-maker-of-films-1971

You can kind of see where this whole "it's my movie and I can do whatever I want with it" thing comes from emotionally. Almost makes you feel sorry for the guy.

Sounds like all this tech if it could have worked in real time would have been the live action show.

What do you mean? Everything they showed was running in real time in the game engine.

Yeah, it's a great and interesting interview, a DVD was made of it. Here's the thread:

yeah my brief sentence didn't capture what i was trying to say.  I guess I was looking at the in production behind the scenes stuff and wondering if they needed to invent some tech (to get to/surpass an Avatar production level or modfy that for a tv budget) but also get the people educated in that tech.  and if this game does supply that does that mean the show is closer or do they now have a better grasp of the volume of people's needed and still the show is a ways away.  I was looking less at the game play footage more at the shots of actors and the cameras.  There's almost no game play footage in this preview, was thinking about the actor w/ dots and figuring that's how they'll do the tv show.
