Maybe the better one has it the more time one has to think about things like going on strike rather than just having to do one's job? I dunno.

Tell that to the metro workers when they were on strike in NYC this month.

I meant nothing by it. I'm not in nor have been in any job or industry supported by unions so I'm not really for or against them. As a rule though I have been taught that hard work will generally be rewarded and I'm not a big one for having other people fight my battles for me. Just an old-fashioned work ethic thing I know.

I wasn't implying that you said something bad. I was agreeing that someone needed to tell the Metro workers to get back to work and stop their strike and figure out a better way to fix their problems.

Let's set up a couple sets. Your throwback and my original. Sound cool?

I got special time with family and friends. We had a fine meal to boot. All was as it should be for me.

I celebrated this evening with my family and friends because that is the time we had together. I stand by my answer.

I got a Lego K-2SO. I don’t care if that’s too kiddy, I still enjoy building and playing (actually, mostly just admiring) Lego. I still adore the old Bionicle line of Lego toys, and this new K-2SO is built in a similar vein.

Not enough people read the EU.

That’s usually me. I still argue with my parents that I’m usually a medium and not a large and they won’t hear it.

When the highlight gift is a six-pack of Pepsi, you know this Christmas was pretty understated.

Son, you eat too much to be a medium.

I finally caved and bought myself the Lego 2016 Advent Calendar, in order to get the fabled White Wookiee Mini-fig. (I was in the Lego store to get the Yellow Submarine set, and my resolve is weak.) It also came with awesome Stormtrooper, Snowtrooper, RotJ Luke and my favorite: the Power-droid!

I got a bunch of D&D and Star Wars X-Wing related stuff. The main thing I’ve been taking advantage of is that I got a Citadel Miniature Painting “starter set,” which gave me a bunch of colours I didn’t really need, but at least I got snips, a proper wash, and it taught me textured paint is a thing.
