"Special thanks to the members at www.abhdtv.net for helping me and understanding the weight of this project." Aha, so that's where all the cool kids are hangin' out. Where was that "I'm leaving" thread I saw? LOL

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

What's the use in making a dts mix and pushing the bitrate up? low bitrate in, low bitrate out?

I wonder if the Wookiegroomer on here and the one actually posting these releases are two different people. Things that make you go hmmm... I'm sure you all know why I'm asking that question.

Dear Wookiegroomer,

I've tried to D/L the latest ESB Proper Reissue but I'm coming up 79 blocks short. Tried to complete using both alt.binaries.starwars and alt.binaries.blu-ray.

Any chance of posting more PAR files?

Wookie Groomer doesn't post here anymore it would seem. Maybe I can help. With the 4 or 5 broken parts, I was able to repair the file with the existing pars. Make sure you got all the parts downloaded and also maybe you should try re-downloading the parts that are damaged. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I tried do overs, but no luck.

The RAR files that are the smallest in size are: 113, 142, 186, 275, 276, 278, 293, 294, 295, 296, 317, 344, 345, 346, 353. These are the actual file #'s needed (i.e: # 113 would have been posted as 115/425, but the actual file name # is 113.

But 4 or 5 additional large PAR files might do the trick.

Finally managed to acquire the needed PAR files. Thanks anyway though. :-)

Jedi's on the way up now!

Still waiting for my DL media to arrive, but I used daemon tools to mount the Empire iso - and it does look pretty fantastic, it has to be said!

Actually, just noticed with the PAR files for ANH Proper - there's only 1.05 gigs worth? And about 1.7 gigs worth of files missing?

All Usenet providers can have problems at one time or another.

Also can I remind you that you nearly got yourself banned last month with your behaviour in Ady's Episode IV thread. It's not going to take much to convince me to finally hit that button.

Yup, just ran QuickPar, and it needs 56 more blocks, or I'd say at least two or three of the missing files :(

Course, would wookiegroomer view that as a criticism if we told him? Just sayin'! :)

I know it's not much, but better than nothing or not saying anything at all!  [^_^]

From all the various versions I own of the original Star Wars trilogy, Wookie Groomers 2009 edition is the best by far and

thanks to you all, we'll now be doing a Star Wars trilogy evening with friends, finally in decent Hi-Def in every way possible in our little Home Cinema / Studio / Habitat.

Yep, I simply joined this forum, just to say thanks and to keep up-to-date.

Would love to see Wookie Groomers setup/kit.  \[^_^]/

Ref: Star Wars - A New Hope - PROPER REISSUE

Anyone else have a playback fault at 00:07:41 when Laya meets Vader for the first time? Seems to be missing a chunk in the film and jumps to 00:08:55 to R2 & C3's scene in the desert.

I've tried playing it through 'Total Media Theatre' and my favorite 'HT MPC' but both have the exact same results.

Anyone else?  [-_-]

So I'm guessing I'm the only one with issues?

'ANH' stops in two places and 'ROTJ' is only half complete/uploaded?

Hopefully others who have downloaded ANH will post their findings. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to see it yet.

Yes.  I also am having a "jump" at this scene.

Damn I am glad I did not jump on these yet then to,I almost did, well looks like a PROPER PROPER REISSUE now LOL.

curious why he does not have people check these for him before ALL the uploading, just does not make sense, especially for files of this size.

I ALWAYS checked over ADM's projects before anything was ever released to the masses.

Thanks for letting me know 'chobek', at least I can relax a little and stop screaming at my HTPC! LoL \[^_^]/

So far these are my results:

SW: ANH
Error/Freeze: 00:07:41 to 00:08:55
Sound missing: 00:15:55 'when C3 hits R2' ...is this correct
Error/Freeze: Another freeze-up after an hour or so into the film. Noticed it yesterday, but forgot where? Searching again.

SW: ESB
To me, seems near perfect, but if I'm picky the background from 00:03:03 to 00:15:15 seems a little washed out only in the snow scenes, as they are missing a small amount of detail that some previous releases had.  Not such a bad thing thought, as it looks far better overal and must have been tough to remaster.

SW: ROTJ
Can not say for now, as I've only recieved 24Gb of the complete file.

May I ask a stupid question?  Why wasn't an NZB file generated for all this seriously amazing work?  [-_-]
