yes, Samuel Jackson picked his own color lightsaber and I guess George Lucas agreed since he’s such a big star, it makes no sense in the continuity because he is the first and only jedi to have a purple saber as far as I know I’ve never seen another purple saber in any other media, blue suits him better and it makes more sense

yea I didn’t notice at first, Im glued to the form on you edit it sounds like it will be quite the experience speaking of the phantom menace another member, sheepishedits is redubbing many of the more annoying characters including Jar Jar he sounds pretty good in my opinion its a very deep voice that sounds pretty powerful, its always cool to see edits that redub lines instead of adding new subtitles (which I love by the way) but redubbing is a whole new level of awesome here’s his youtube channel

Idk. Cool idea it’s just that is the most iconic saber in Star Wars. I have grown (and thousands more) so attached to Anakin and Lukes blue lightsaber. Idk just my 2 cents

I don’t see how having a purple saber makes you seem darker, the only thing it does IMO is make the person wielding it look stupid

Personally, I’m fine with the purple saber(s). But only with Windu and potentially Dooku (as I’ll be doing in my ep 2 edit).
I think color has incredible meaning in Star Wars, which is why the three lightsabers you see in the OT were all different colors. Each represented a significant difference in character from the others’ owners, and the colors mean different things for different characters.
Watching the PT, it is pretty clear from Episode I that Windu is the more aggressive member of the Jedi council. Qui Gon is a peaceful hippy of sorts. Obi Wan is the learner, like Luke was in ANH. Then of course, Maul being a Sith, would have red. The purple never bothered me, as it was distinctive of an aggressive Jedi. Perhaps one who uses anger, who maybe was once tempted by the dark side (simply having the color purple leaves many questions, which I like).
What bothers me is having lightsabers everywhere in the PT. They should have been used sparingly, with Yoda and Sidious never touching one (this makes zero sense to anyone who watched the OT first).
Anyway, sorry for veering a bit off topic. This just gets me fired up.
In short, I’m more than curious to see a version of the PT with simply blue/red lightsabers (could be fantastic), but I don’t think it’s entirely necessary. In my opinion, the OT encouraged the idea of multi-colored sabers beyond red and blue.

When Anakin tells him he thinks Palpatine is a Sith Lord, he seems so happy to finally have the opportunity to kick Palpatine’s ass. The guy is walking to Palpatine’s office as if he was in Pulp fiction. Too bad Palpatine does not have a hamburger on his desk.
