No, I don't want to get into any flame wars. I was generally referring to forbidding of posting links to external forum.
If you do it respectfully I don't see why would it be prohibited. KilroyMcFadden thread title was indeed provocative but if he named it "Interesting things from TFN" would it still be labelled as inappropriate? If so I think this should be stated in forum rules somewhere. If I refer to Bingo, no rule should be "confidential".

When you start a thread that links to another forum with interesting information, it most likely won't be prohibited. However, the topic being questioned had Moderator Headache written all over it.
Our board has gained some visibility the past couple of years, a lot of it on more respected film and entertainment sites. The attention has been positive and respectful. We would like to keep it that way, as well as returning the sentiment.

TFN has a long history of forum posters having views contrary to those this site is all about. There are probably others. There was even a blogger who was openly critical of us, even though they professed to never actually visit here.

I don't want any episode 7-9 villains to be revealed as the power behind Palpatine's or Mothma's throne. To do so would undermine those characters when there's absolutely no need to.
Plagueis in episodes 7-9 would be The Fallen in Transformers 2. It's knocking down an existing character in order to prop up a new one.

I like the military genius aspect of Thrawn, but I don't want to see the art analysis aspect. Studying art is cool, but it's not going to help you predict a battle.

I don't see how he can show up without having to explain why Palpatine said he was dead, especially since it's implied Palpy did the deed. It either means Plagueis does a very good Norwegian Blue impression, or Palpy lied. And why lie about killing a guy Anakin never even heard of?
