I named myself "crazyrabbits" mostly because it was pretty random. I even named my Myspace profile after it.

Pink Floyd used to perform a couple of song-cycles in concert (circa 1969) entitled "The Man" and "The Journey". The first of these concerts was adverstised as "The massed gadgets of Auximenies; more furious madness from Pink Floyd" with a similar tagline appearing on adverts for subsequent shows.

(Check out CDR009 on the website of this fan "label")

Auximenies is sometimes spelled "Auximenes". On Pink Floyd boards neither is uncommon, often combined with a number. In retrospect, I wish I had added "1972" (my birth year) to distinguish myself from other auximenieses.

So why did I use a Floyd-related name on a SW board? Well, I came to these boards with no Star Wars fan-produced DVDs except the Dr. Gonzo set. Because I am active in trading live music recordings -- bootlegs -- I figured I could use my cache of live music DVDs (unofficial/OOP stuff) as trade bait for the various Star Wars fan DVDs (bonus materials, documentaries, etc.) that some of you may have. I'm on dialup so downloading torrents is not an option. So I maintained the Floyd-related (albeit obscure) screen name and paired it with a well-known pic for the avatar.

My name is a combination of the Turkish word for blue - mavi - and Chairman Mao.

I thought it was funny to think of Mao as sad and blue...plus it sounds cool together. (mah-vee, mah_ow)

I really wish I could change my name. It's about as uncreative as it gets.

See, I knew this would be interesting. I was thinking of auximenes as a fan of pre-Socratic philosophy. Mavimao is a great combo.

I used to go under the alias Keepers (which was an imp in a story I wrote back in high school) but wanted something a little more mischievious so changed to casualimp (pronounced casual imp; often mis-read as casual limp). Some people read it as an erectile disfunction.

My screen name is my email, but it's also a nickname i've had since grade 8. It actually comes from the Mariah Carey song feat Old Dirty Bastard, "Fantasy" (a song we used to listen to pretty much ever day in grade 8 during lunch).

Old Dirty Bastard:
Ladies and gentlemen
Introducing the old dirtay doggy!
Here we go now raise the roof
Me and Mariah go back like babies with pacifiers
Oh dirt dog no liar
Keep your fantasy hot like fire
Jump jump!
Lemme see u do the stomp
Girls let me see you shake your rump
Fellas get it from the back and pop and lets do it, do it, do it, do it!
I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock and roll
I done stoled yo soul
Big letters all big and bold
Old dirty bastard, that's what blows

~* you know you love me... xoxo *~

I don't know if I feel like explaining it at this point. However the top and bottom screenshots from my first post in the following link just happen to contain within them what my screenname refers to.

By the way, you really stumped me with yours, THX. (just kidding)

An N64 game. Diddy Kong Racing. My favorite character to race with was Tiptup. I like the name because it's like the term tiptop.

Stumbled across this thread in my search for Darths and thought it was worthy of a bump.

Mine is a combination of TV's Frank from Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Professor Frink from The Simpsons.

You?

Mine came from my daughter , instead of typing the Murry Sparkles( Elmo's cats name!) name into a Disney site she opened the wrong window on the desktop and typed in the name Murry Sparkles. I wanted to be called Al Bundy after one of my favourite TV characters, i had almost finished creating an account here when someone phoned so i clicked the page down, she opens the wrong page, fills out Murry Sparkles and creates an account for me as Murry Sparkles.

Years ago I was trying to come up with callsign to use in Wing Commander.   I just couldn't think of watch to use.   So I flipped at random through my mom's bird book.   It happened to land on Warbler.   I've been using the name ever since.

At risk of coming across as a total nerd ("NERD! Quick, hit 'im with a playground ball!!"), my screenname comes from a Mon Calamari Jedi character I ran for years in the old d6 West End Star Wars RPG.

I was wrong, we took over a thread to discuss it. Reposted from there:

Mine is from a group my friends made in high school, back when everyone was obsessed with GoldenEye 64. We all picked numbers, I got 005. When I wanted to change my lame first.last@juno.com email address (to give you an idea of how long ago this was), it hit me to spell it out. I've used it for everything ever since.

It's not my fault VFP isn't around to change the title of the thread to reflect the takeover. ;-)

I still like my story that Warbler is your last name.  "Hello ladies, I'm Warbler.  James Warbler."

The Evil Dead series.  Specifically, Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness.

I'd choose a different name if I joined today, though.  Likely Futurama-related.
