What should be bannable offenses on Originaltrilogy forums? — Page 4

Sorry Dayv, you're on my ignore list so I won't get a massive fucking migraine trying to read your posts. Thank the programmers for the new ignore feature. And that broken Caps Lock bit would get you banned in several forums I frequent and infrequent.

How about banning someone if they're not actually a troll and have a very low post count? Oh, wait, that's me.;) Eh, doesn't really matter, this forum sometimes has its head up its ass and other times funny as fuck. Has both pros and cons as it were.

Hell, AdamWanKenobi posts at The Raven which is the forum for TheRaider.net I've put him on my ignore list also.

What's strange is I've been posting more frequently as of late. Could it be I just feel the need to give my minor opinions about things instead of just being a casual reader? Eh, don't know and frankly don't care.
Carry on with the random bullgrudgery and random matters.;)

COULD or COULDNT? I dont get the anti-caps lock thing some forums have. Its petty, and its part of DAYVs indiviudualty here. I think its funny, and no where near warrents a banning (its not in the same league as selling edits or whatever). DO people READ posters AND think THEY are YELLING at THEM????? If so Its in YOUR head dude!
Guess IM on the ignore list now! So, for what its worth, which works best? stfu, s.t.f.u, STFU, or S.T.F.U! Incidently, are there any people who get upset about the use of exclamation marks at the end of a sentence here as i wouldnt like to offend ANYONE and run the risk of being banned!

DAYV doesnt use caps on his web page unfortunatly though, exept where he needs to!

Actually DAYV im gonna add you to my ignore list because im turning into a junkie with the ammount of asprin i need to take after your every post!

I find it annoying - his desire for attention means that my eyes have to work harder. I'm too lazy to read any post of his that's longer than two lines; my eyes just skip it (sort of like a manual ignore function).

Yes it would be harsh to ban someone for typing in all caps - just as it would be harsh to ban someone who refuses to remove an annoying signature image - but it I do feel it warrants calling them a knobhead every so often.

Apart from the fact that it's universally considered bad netiquette, there is another more serious issue: some screen readers may falsely identify words in all capitals as abbreviations, and read them out letter-by-letter.

STFU works best :) Not only do the caps give the impression your yelling, but the periods aren't necessary either. Having stfu in lower case would give the feeling you're being gentle about telling someone to shut the fuck up. So it should be STFU and GTFO. You can add an explanation point to go even further.

IT DEPENDS ON WHICH ONE OF MY SITES YOU'RE VISITING. IF IT'S ARMCHAIREVIEWS.COM, MANGLERBROS.COM, OR PSYCHDAYV.COM THEN I USE BOTH UPPER AND LOWER CASE. IF IT'S THE MANGLER BROS. FORUM THEN I KEEP THE CAPS LOCK ON.

Dayv's use of caps has never really bothered me, although I have to admit Moth3r's Forrest Gump comment made me laugh. But anyway, every other "intarweb" typist who uses caps exclusively seems to be some moron who can't spell or form a coherent sentence. Dayv never has that problem, which redeems what could be an annoying habit. Nearly all his posts are relatively well-written, so I hardly even notice the caps unless I'm just quickly scrolling through a thread, in which case his posts become easily identifiable, for better of for worse. ^_~
