I can confirm the veracity of this story.
And I've never heard of Dove Creek, which makes sense given that there aint nothin' near it.
Well I love Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Academy games.
Also I love KOTOR series games.

I listened to the ROTJ radio drama last evening and early this morning. I hesitated for the longest time because I knew it was half the length of the previous two and follows the film's story closely.
I almost abandoned it midway through CD 2. It added little up to that point.
But then I decided to keep listening, and glad I did.
The Ewoks become almost background after the village scene. They arrive to distract Imperial forces as they did in the film and that's pretty much it.
Luke and Leia's conversation on the bridge is easier listening.
The encounter between the Emperor, Vader, and Luke was an improvement over the film, even though those are some of the more classic scenes.
Vader's "No" in the blu-ray re-release of ROTJ was among the most meaningless and cringe-worthy changes. The drama does add lines to that scene, but the intensity and emotion of the actors won me over. It's superior.
EDIT: If someone would like to hear the final confrontation, I can upload a sample onto YouTube.
Anchorhead never did get around to writing a review on Scoundrels...
I like Zahn's Trilogy, Stackpole's X-wing books.
the Tales of the Jedi comics and Sith war series. Tom Veitch.
Some of the New Jedi order is okay, but the series really goes into the toilet starting with the bug trilogy, then legacy of the force and fate of the jedi.
Worst of all so far is Crucible.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
I'm surprised that the Old Republic series wasn't mentioned in this thread, considering its popularity. I though Deceived and Revan were pretty good, but the clichéd superweapon was used in Fatal Alliance which detracted from the overall quality of the book. I didn't enjoy Annihilation as much as the first two, but it was still quite good.
They released the full unabridged versions of Allegiance and Specter of the Past as online download only versions, no CD. Just like Dark Force Rising and the Last Command. Read by Marc Thompson. Supposedly Vision of the future comes out sometime in December of this year.
All Timothy Zahn Titles previously not available unabridged.
No listings or future plans to do Choices of one. Would be nice to have a full Timothy Zahn Set. But i would prefer CD's.
Is that aubible website worth it. I mean if thats the only form to get them other than itunes?
Sometimes Mark Thompson can make even some of the crap books almost okay.
Like Apocalypse and Crucible.

To clarify, I am referring to the books, not the video games on which they are based as I have never played them and they have been mentioned in this thread.

I love SWTOR. The only EU sources I really love are KOTOR1,2, SWTOR, JK2 and JKA.
As for TOR books, I enjoyed Revan and Annihilation the most. I must say though that I am not a big fan of 1000 years old immortal Emperor and I would have preferred if they left Revan's fate after KOTOR1/2 a mystery. I like Malgus subplot in Deceived but I found the other two subplots boring (that of the Jedi girl and smuggler guy). As for Fatal Alliance, I think it is stupid and ridiculous.

Same here. The "Sith Emperor" is a rip-off of Palpatine who totally undermines Palpatine's uniqueness, accomplishments, and importance.
Yeah, I thought he made Sidious seem way less awesome. The force shouldn't be practically unlimited in its power. This also shows that the dark side of the force is more powerful than the light side, since light side users must practice moderation in order to avoid becoming proud and falling to the dark side, which it shouldn't be.

This too. The whole point of the Sith is that their ways don't work at the end of the day.
One thing the EU does wrong is that everybody who disagrees with the prequel trilogy Jedi in any little way becomes a Sith. That's like anybody who disagrees with the pope in any little way becoming a Nazi.
Exactly. Or everybody who disagrees with the president becoming a terrorist.

I think light/dark side is well done in SWTOR. It is like a real life equivalent. You must struggle to be a fair citizen and in the end of the day that feeling can be rewarding. Or you can become a crock and break the rules. Yes, in rare occasions being a crock can turn out way better for you than being fair (for example, getting rich by some undetectable scam). But in most cases you will end up in jail.

You have a point there. imperialscum, but I think it was overdone a little with the immortal emperor thing. I think the analogy you're pointing out exists anyway, without the power of the bad guys being blown out of proportion. I think the power of Sidious vs. Yoda is a good example of what you mean. Yoda is a powerful Jedi, but Sidious has greater destructive power and uses it to defeat powerful Jedi like Yoda, but he is defeated in the end. The "immortal emperor" was just stepping too far.

Well yes, of course. My analogy wasn't meant for the immortal Emperor. I already said I don't like that at all. I was talking about light/side power in general. Sorry for misunderstanding.

Is it possible that Palpatine is possessed by the "Sith Emperor"?
That would be an interesting idea. Or perhaps Darth Plagueis (sp?) was, since he also supposedly discovered how to control life and prevent people from dying (and according to the "Plagueis-created-Anakin" hypothesis; create it).

I never finished it. After I got sidetracked, I decided to start over. I'm finishing up a Doctor Who novel and then back to Star Wars.
There are Doctor Who novels?!

I keep seeing that name pop up on the forum... Who is this character? I can tell by the things said about him that he must be in the PT, but I don't remember a thing about him.
Edit- I guess I could ask Google the same question and get instant answers... But I ain't gonna.
