And I thought I heard Willow was a ripoff of the Hobbit.
Well, yes. But some movies are less obvious than others.

chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.

I love Willow.
Although it's yet another testament to how unoriginal Lucas is, since it very obviously takes quite a lot from The Lord of the Rings.
Find me a fantasy film that doesn't rip of Lord of the Rings to some extent. That said, I think George ripped himself off, as nearly every character is a fantasy equivalent of a Star Wars character.
yeh, Willow just took things from one of the early drafts for Star Wars. He did tinker with the idea of having the main characters for SW as dwarfs. You've got all the main characters from SW in there; Willow is Luke, Madmartigan is obviously Han Solo, Sorsha is Leia, Bavmorda is Vader, Raziel is Obi-Wan.

I don't know whether to laugh or be horrified by imagining the Original Trilogy featuring Luke, Leia, Han, Vader and Obi-Wan as Ewoks.

Unless this is Steve Allen, you're stealing my bit!
Objects in Space
Out of Gas
Serenity (Pilot)
Our Mrs. Reynolds
Jaynestown
Ariel
The movie belongs at the top of that list.
I was including the movie in my consideration. It's fourth from the bottom of the complete list for me, so it doesn't make the top six. But in this company, fourth from the bottom is still pretty good. YMMV, obviously.

Hey look another Star Wars Ranking thread. Really surprising seeing so many people putting PT films above OT ones. Maybe 2010 was a more forgiving time?
Not enough people read the EU.
We need a Ranking the Ranking the Star Wars Films threads thread.

Knowing those two guys like you don’t, I think they were both kidding.
Oh…but even uttering such a thing can warp the fabric of reality as we know it.

FAVORITE FAN EDIT REVISED LIST:
Don’t know what the hell I was thinking when I made this thread almost six years ago now. Today it’s
ESB
ANH
ROTS
ROTJ
TFA
AOTC
TPM
I know, I know, Sith over Jedi is bad. But I really hated the 2nd death star, if they didn’t have that then it might honestly be my favorite. The Emperor/Vader/Luke scene is probably my favorite scene in the saga and it’s a perfect conclusion (for the first six films at least). I go back and forth.
EDIT: Added in The Force Awakens. I really thought it was a fantastically made film, and from a film making perspective, it’s top 3 IMO. But I ranked ROTJ low because of the 2nd superweapon, a 3rd superweapon for the 2nd movie in a row is just ridiculous. It showed up, blew up a planet we don’t know/care about, and was destroyed. It’s just too repetitive at this point, hopefully the story can actually move forward now without some big pointless superweapon.
I would rank the Star Wars films from my most favorite to my least favorite in the following order:
A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back
Revenge of the Sith
Attack of the Clones
Return of the Jedi
The Phantom Menace.
Return of the Jedi would have been better than Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones if it were not for the Empire illogically building a second Death Star, Jabba the Hutt resisting a Jedi mind trick despite seeming weak-minded, and the cute and cuddly teddy bears obliterating the imperial stormtroopers.
The Phantom Menace was indisputably the worst Star Wars film due to the absence of a clear main character as well as the presence of Jar Jar Binks, Midichlorians, and Neimoidians.

And what exactly do you have to substantiate that claim?
Jabba not resisting a Jedi mind trick would make the escape pretty boring.
Ceci n’est pas une signature.

WRONG
But AOTC is the worst no matter the presence or non-presence of CPY.

I agree that AOTC is the worst but I don’t see what’s so wrong with creep-puppet-yoda, at least he’s somewhat believable unlike the CGI-shitpile that is the new version.
