What Does Everyone Here Think of Star Wars?

Some of it is really cool.

Some of it is less cool.

Some of it is kinda bad.

Some of it is awful.

Overall, though, I’m a fan also. Star Wars is cool.

This is why we need a New Star Wars New Thread Thread.

What a weird way to express your contempt for Star Wars.

I’ve never trusted Star Wars, and I never will. I’ll never forgive them for the death of my Trek.

TREK HAS DONE THAT TO ITSELF!

Oh no I’m paraphrasing the PT again.

I don’t believe you. It’s another Trek!

It’s all a lot of simple treks and nonsense.

Oh my god… I was about to say the exact same thing.

Oh no I’m paraphrasing the PT again.

What if the new Star Trek series, which tries to be a hybrid of the old shows and the new movies, turns out like the Charlies Angels series, which was also a hybrid of the old shows and new movies. Didn’t seem enough fans were interested enough to give it the ratings it needed to continue on for a second season.

That’s not what you think of Star Wars.

I think it was good, but I only have my memories of it.

If I didn’t have to begrudgingly accept ROTJ as canon, I’d like the franchise a whole lot more.

The OT is sacred. All three films are essential, and deserves to be available in its original form.

The PT you can skip entirely.

TFA is a strong start for disney era, but it could go either way.

As if anyone ever watched Star Wars and Empire then said ‘yeah, I’m fine with this cliffhanger ending forever’

I would’ve preferred that over Death Star 2: Electric Boogaloo, Palpatine’s Saturday morning cartoon method of proselytization, the Empire’s finest troops succumbing like bitches to stone age teddy bears, and Vader’s “get-out-of-jail-free card” redemption.

ROTJ was a bunch of movies packed into one. Aside from the Death Star (Which might have been better served not appearing in Star Wars at all until now), it really feels like it tries to close too many threads at once. If Lucas could’ve gotten away with more movies in his franchise, we might have had a more natural progression to the events of ROTJ.

Except for the Ewoks. Wookiees would work significantly better. I blame the Holiday Special.
