Nevermind.
How does one accidentally put on 3D glasses?
Where were you in '77?
Nevermind.
I'm highly considering it, since this would be my first time and it would be nice to go in the (pre)wake of Episode VII.

I thought this is happening before TFA comes out....
Pre-wake.

That's better.
What I had meant is that it would be nice to go while Episode VII is hopefully being so heavily promoted and close to release date.

Is there enough to see and do at the con to justify being there through Sunday?
Where were you in '77?
Sunday is pretty dead but there's usually still a few things going on.

This is getting good! Now if they can just get Ralph Brown. ;)
Where were you in '77?
If they got Ralph Brown, I'd probably have no choice but to attend.
I might even consider going if he was gonna be there.
I'd have him sign my copy of Withnail & I.
I'd have him sign my VHS copy of The Crying Game.
Okay. If you want some real entertainment while at Celebration, you HAVE to attend this panel:
One Big Story: Working Within the Star Wars Canon
Fri. April 17| 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM | Star Wars Fan Stage – 303ABCD
Last year Lucasfilm announced the beginning of a brand-new approach to storytelling: the continuing Star Wars universe would be one huge, entirely connected, canon saga across all media, overseen by the Lucasfilm Story Group. As a major provider of non-film or TV related creative content, publishers bear a responsibility to tell new and exciting stories within these parameters. What’s it like knowing that the projects you are working on are considered canon? How do you approach storytelling so it fits in with so many other types of media? How can publishers work together to help fans feel like they really are reading one big universe? And exactly where does the Story Group fit in? Join Michael Siglain, creative director and Jennifer Heddle, senior editor, from Lucasfilm and Disney publishing; editor-at-large Shelly Shapiro from Del Rey; editor Jordan D. White, VP International Development; C.B. Cebulski from Marvel; managing editor Sadie Smith from DK; and Leland Chee from the Lucasfilm Story Group as they discuss the new world that has opened up for Star Wars storytelling, and how to navigate the intricately interconnected world of a galaxy far, far away.
The sheer amount of salt that will be generated by this panel will be legendary. I would not be surprised to see outbursts from the crowd and actual tears during the Q&A.
^While reading the blurb above makes me want to down an entire bottle of Pepto-Bismol, thinking about the fantard reactions makes me want to go further and drown myself in a tub full of the stuff.
I'm not going to the SW Celebration this year because it's in California, all the way across the country from me.
I usually go when it's in Orlando, though, because that's in my home state, and not too taxing of a drive.

With all the online uproar, I seriously doubt any "unscripted" questions will be asked, (like when George appeared at Celebration) if there's a Q&A at all.
Where were you in '77?
Interested in this "online uproar" you speak of, SilverWook. What's the reaction to this news on the whole? I'm generally indifferent.
Anyway, I maintain my previous stance that I won't be going but would definitely love to grab a beer or something with fellow OT-ers in Anaheim.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
I have no idea, I was just going by what people here say is the reaction elsewhere. I can barely keep up with this site as it is. ;)
The guest list is getting better all the time, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid, and Clive Revill! I'd pay money to see Ian and Clive debate each other. ;)
Still no Ralph Brown. :(

Ah, so they're not trying to cover up Mr. Revill's existence anymore. ;-)
His name was never removed from the credits. The 1997 SE credits were never updated to reflect any of the later changes of course.

I'm kind of impressed they're selling this souvenir for the convention:

Clive Revill making an appearance?
Shaw Anakin pins being sold?
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's hard to not take this as some kind of sign....
Yeah, it's a sign alright. Goin' outta business!
Apparently both Gareth Edwards and Josh Trank will be there.

Well, the Lucasfilm people would have to know that inviting Revill, a man who was (regardless of credits) deleted from the film, would be opening a can of worms.
